Parental Drama

      This book is the first in a series for the Ardelean Wolves and it is a slower paced book than I'm used to. It's heavily plot driven without letting that stop you from enjoying the book. There is spice in this book but it definitely takes a back seat to everything else happening.  We have Thalia whose life is being threatened because of a political stance by her mother. She had her whole life uprooted as she is protected by Cade, a former military man. We get a front seat to seeing how she starts to fall for Cade but insecurities are rampant in her mind. She feels that they are later validated when she finds out that one again politics is taking advantage of her life. It's not enough to stop the feelings that she's grown to have for Cade and they eventually get back together. I liked Thalia and could relate to her when it came to having insecurities about yourself despite what others may say. Her thirst for knowledge and her ability to accept people eve
