 It's hard to remember a series that I have been as invested in as I have with this one. I love this series so much. This entry in the series has begun to clean up lose ends as we head into the big showdown with Mother. Speaking of, we get to learn more and more about her in this book. The journal entries at the beginning of the chapters have given more insight into what happened to her to make her into who she is now. Though there is so much more for us to learn. We also get to see Flynn go through probably some of the worst times he's ever been through. I felt for him throughout and I just can't imagine going through what he does here. Though there is a slight light at the end of the tunnel. Kara, also goes through a lot here even though she's not awake for most of it. Heck all of our characters are facing a lot of hard times and even harder decisions. From Cal, Rogan and Nora to Fitz, Marcos and even Titus.   Wow. I need a moment to marinate on what just happened. Kara...girl...idk what to say about her right now. In this book she was able to get some great things accomplished  but also....that ending. Had me like...AGAIN?! Flynn was out here kicking butt and taking names. Of course there was the typical political drama *eye roll*. I almost wish that Flynn would just embrace being a dictator. The way things are up in Glynfyls is enough to make you want to smack someone! There is also so much clarification that we get in this book. We get more information on all parties. I mean from more clarification on the who all the Overlords previous have been to more information about the Original Houses. I was very interested in all the little bits of information we were able to get. This is one of those series that you HAVE to read the blurbs at the beginning of the chapters. It gives you so much information and context on what is about to happen that, if you skip it, you miss things. Anot...

Yall, I try not to be long winded when I do my reviews because I don't want to spoil you. Also I try to be a raving looney toon as well but this series is going to probably have the longest reviews I've written. When I say that I am head over heels for these characters, this world, the story. I truly am. Once again we are back in this world meeting so many new faces and some returning! I was so happy to see that Rogan was back! I knew it would throw an interesting wrench between Kara and Flynn and boy did it!! Rogan was just someone who was there briefly in the Prequel Breeder, but he was important to Kara. The fact that he disappeared after what happened in the prequel was investing to me and he always lingered in the back of my mind but never,  did I expect his return to be what it was!! I definitely hope we get a story on him! I just know he has an amazing story to tell!! Cal, is still a wild card for me. There are some people who have lived a long time in this series and Ca...
