A Fate of Wrath & Flame - Review

I will say, that I was very surprised by this book. If you look at my recent reads, you'd think I'm on a binge of this author. It was purely unintentional. Going from Wolf Hotel to this is such a jarring change. Not only because one series is a contemporary romance and the other is a fantasy novel but because there is such a huge drop in the spice level and quality. I was expecting the same thing even though the genres are so different. I had to slog through this book. Romeria was getting on my last nerves for most of this book. Granted she is thrown into a crazy situation (like seriously, what the hell) but I really did have some serious eye rolls happening. I mean seriously, this situation is honestly quite wild. I'm not saying that I would handle it any better but idk. She was getting on my nerves. Actually a lot of them were getting on my nerves. The whole "let's keep secrets that are life changing" thing was gonna drive me up a wall and around the bend. ...

Witch Marked - ARC Review

This book was such a good read! I felt the mojo coming back with this book! I didn't want to stop reading it. Masha and Ezra had such a beautiful story. This one reminded me why I love shifter books so much! Masha is definitely a character that I like reading. She was strong, smart and a girls girl. She was an orphan with a secret to keep but she didn't let that stop her from being a good person who wasn't mad at the world. She accepted that she had a mate without doing all the weird denials. It is always weird to me when a character denies something that is essential to their species and lore for a bad or silly reason. Even though Masha had a secret that was she was sworn to keep since she was younger, once she met her mate and got to know him, she knew that it didn't make sense anymore to keep something like that away from him. I really appreciated that. Ezra was the same way. Instead of being some spoiled shifter King, he had a good upbringing and believed in doing ...

Fated Frenzy - Review

This book started out strong!! I really enjoyed reading a book that has someone who was from my state in it. That was definitely something that was kind of a hook for me. I also really liked that she was someone who felt like she was an outcast and was looking for her place in the world. I think almost every Sci-Fi romance reader was hoping to one day be Nala. She got the opportunity to live out the dream and she took it with open arms! It was refreshing to have a character that saw something different and allowed herself to be taken on the journey instead of balking at everything and doing and caring about what everyone else thought. She is living in a completely alien world and instead of holding to many of our hang ups, she embraces them. Meeting the guys was a very fast experience and she fell for the extremely fast as well. There was a lot here that I was hoping would be left for world building. Which there was some of that done for sure. We have a whole alien planet and powe...
