 We finally get the story behind what happened with Able and Riley in this book! I was curious from the first moment that I read about their awkwardness in Dean and Avalon's story! Seeing these two get together finally was like watching your best friend get together with the person they had been dancing around for the longest time. It was nice to watch. They definitely had less to deal with than Dean and Avalon did in their books but it was no less intense! Your childhood boogey man coming to get you is definitely something that you don't want to deal with and poor Riley was trying to deal with it on her own. I understand why she made the choices that she did, in the end it was kinda smart but at the same time a little bit silly when you are dealing with the caliber of people that she knows at the school. When the past finally did come back to bite her, it was crazy to see how delusional people can make themselves. Even to the point that they are smart about it. On another note...

  We have finally reached the end of the road for Dean and Avalon's story! I was so excited to finally get all the details behind who Avalon's parents are. In this book we finally get some resolution to a lot of the questions that were unanswered in the first book. Some of these I already guessed while the others were not anything that I thought was going to happen. So without spoilers lets get into it. Avalon gets a lot of resolution in this book. From confronting her mother about the information that they'd managed to gather, to getting back at the people who she found out orchestrated a lot of the problems for her. I loved getting to see her get revenge. With that being said, this book is definitely a lot more bloody and a lot more unhinged than the previous books were. It kinda had to be for the things that we had to get through with these characters. As for Dean, he was able to show us and Avalon that he's standing ten toes down for her.   Well we are getting slowly but surely closer to the truth of who wants Avalon where she is and why. A lot of things are revealed in this book. Not everything, but a lot of the pieces and players are finally making themselves known. Some of them were obvious and others weren't. I won't spoil it but one someone we have already met outs themselves in this book. Their reasoning was a little weird to me but the fact that they were out to get Avalon was pretty obvious. The rest though, I definitely need some more details on what the heck is happening because, the plot has thickened! I have my predictions on why I think this is happening but no idea why! Dean's father makes himself a part of the plot in this book and it just makes you wonder what they heck he did to his son! On top of that we find out that there are even more players in this game then we thought! I am mystified by what is going on!   This was definitely a very dark read. It's not as dark as some of the other books that I have read before but it definitely went there. In this book we meet Avalon and Dean as they encounter each other at school. Avalon is allowed into this school for the rich and connected thanks to her academics, despite having "bad behavior". We immediately see that she is someone who doesn't give a care about anything that the rich and connected care about. She is definitely a tough girl. Which is something that Dean and the Sick Boys of the school are not used to. As she navigates this new school, dynamics and relationships though her past won't quite leave her alone. I enjoyed reading about how she and Dean get closer to each other. Even though the road there was paved with a lot of mistrust and craziness. This story still managed to keep me interested and engaged with the characters. Avalon is definitely someone who would benefit from some form of therapy or a healthy out...
