End of the Month Wrap Up- January 2024

The first month of the year is complete and it was filled with a lot of change. There were a lot of ARCs and the return of one of the authors that first got me into my love of reading romance books. There was some amazing reads in this month so let's break them down!! Here are some of the amazing books that I managed to read this year! Spiciest Read-   Dark City Omega:   Adam and Echo were here to bring the SPICE ok!! They were hot almost from the very beginning! I enjoyed not only getting to know them but I also enjoyed the spicy scenes! I look forward to getting to know them again in more of this series! Fav Character-  Rose (The Dragon's Rose): Rose was willing to put aside her hurt and go to a whole new world for her sister. She was willing to marry a person who she didn't know and try to make things work. Which she did. I admire her selflessness and willingness to go above and beyond for her family. Then once she was there, she didn't allow the fact that she wa...

Under the Moon- Review

I really enjoyed the first 50 or so percent of this book.... and then the rest happened. This could have stopped at the half way area and been an amazing book. It just felt like there was too many ideas and the book didn't want to end. Like there was literally 3 different stories in this one story. It could have ended after the first one and the next 2 things could have been it's own book with things more drawn out and some other things thrown in. Instead our FMC was kidnapped 3 times and there was everyone under the sun trying to make her their mate. It was just...a lot. I felt myself getting exhausted by all that was happening. I just wanted it to end,  meanwhile the beginning was so good! It just could have ended almost 200 pages earlier.       The spice used some....interesting wording. Like cavern and manhood. It was very interesting to say the least. It took me out of it at times and it was very... basic. Like it tried but it just wasn't all th...

Grim- Review

Image
This was a pretty good spin on shifter genre. I liked how things were broken down and explained in regards to the relationship the shifters have with everyone else within their world. It gives the author so much opportunity to make each characters story unique. It could also be said that this could be set up for an interconnected series that could go on for awhile. I like that. Grim and Journey were both broken people who needed each other. I liked how they brought in the dynamics of wolves without making it full on omegaverse. I'm not even sure what we could call Grim since he had such a domineering presence but more than once said he was not an Alpha. Hopefully we'll get to see more of Locke, who is the alpha, as well some of the others who will shape the rest of the dynamics in the pack of Rogues. This book is also inclusive, in that there is a same sex couple in the story. Seeing that there wasn't an issue with this was also a nice thing about this story. I...
