Impure Intentions - Review

Image
I have never read a book with a dominant female. I decided to try something different since the premise for this book was very interesting!! However through reading this book I've learned that dominant FMCs are not for me. So let's start with the things I didn't like so we can end on a good note with this review. In books that have a foreign language being a heavy focus in the book, I really encourage authors to have some kind of glossary either at the beginning, end or in the sentenced in question so that those without knowledge of the language can still understand what's being said. That didn't happen in this book. So there were entire conversations that I didn't understand. The only alternative would be to stop reading and pull out the handy dandy Google translate. Which I didn't do. I just tried to use context clues. Which I think it worked for the most part. This didn't effect my rating of the book since this is something I consider minor,

Tallest Tower - Review

This book was such an unexpected gem!! I really enjoyed reading this book and seeing the dynamic between the 2 characters!! There was so much happening in this book but it was all so interesting!! The story behind the Malone brothers however was so tragic! Like I can't believe how heartbreaking their story is. So to see at least 2 of them are getting their happily ever after just makes me smile. It was a tough road to get there though. The banter between Felix & Christabelle is just hilarious. I really enjoyed their enemies to lovers vibe! Then the reveal near the end!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think there is enough exclamation marks for the way my jaw dropped at that reveal!! Then it just kept coming. It's like the one reveal led to another and another. I was completely speechless Hats off to the author for this, because I had no clue. There wasn't really a lull in the story and everything seemed to have a place and a reason for what was happening. I really enjoyed th

The Moment - ARC Review

If you are looking for your next rocker read then this one might just be right up your alley! I try to stay away from them myself but I have started to enjoy them a little bit more so I jumped at the chance to read this one! This is the story of Rex and Aria! Rex is a rock star from a famous band that has almost had his fill of being a rocker. The lack of privacy and constantly having to duck and dodge fans has started to lose it's luster. Aria is a woman who has just been coasting through life and never pursuing her dreams. Until Aria is forced by her best friend and sister to live it up a little. When these two meet, it's almost love at first sight for them both. I really enjoyed the way these two met. I have seen this phenomena online but I have never seen someone write about it in a book! I'll let ya'll stay in suspense about that. You'll have to pick this book up to see how the met BUT just know it's unique and very cool. I also enjoyed how they jus

Beautiful Beast - Review

This was a very interesting story!! I don't think that I have ever come across the lore of this story. I was looking forward to how things would progress between the characters in this book. I love a good why choose story, add in dragons and you better sign me up. Add in true/fated mates and you might as well just tape the story to my hands because that's where it is going to stay until I finish it! Unfortunately though, this one fell a little flat of what I was looking for in such a story. The love between the characters wasn't developed at all. Like, I'll read insta love stories but it has to make sense as to why they instantly fell in love. This one had more of an enemies to lovers vibe going on. Even though they were mates, they didn't really establish a relationship. There was no bond between them individually. I think the dragons had more of a bond than she had with either one of them. Maybe one of them had a better relationship with her but for them to

Fire In His Embrace - Review

This was another great installment in this series by Ruby Dixon. Getting to know more about Emma and her past was very interesting and sad! Oh man, I felt so bad for her when she recounted her past to Zohr! She is definitely the most fiercest of the FMC's that we have met so far in the Fire Blood Dragon series. Emma is ready to get things done! It doesn't matter who she has to go against in order to get it done. In this book getting it done meant making sure that her and her dragon were safe. The rest of the characters that we've met up til this point make a reappearance in the story. I love that we keep up with Sasha and Claudia from the previous stories. And I believe that we are set up for the next couple in this story...Claudia's sister and Rast? I'm looking forward to meeting them! I think this might have been as far as I got before when I was reading this series. I might have read the next book but I don't remember. There was not a lot of down time in th
