Ancients - ARC Review

I was not thinking that this book was going to be what it was. Honestly, I'm surprised that I was able to finish this. It feels almost ant-everything that I loved about this author's previous releases. Maybe I've just been steeped in the dark reads for too long or something. This book gave off a kind of self hatred that was almost an instant turn off. Sarah, our FMC, is a vampire who hates drinking blood. So she pretty much walks around half starved for most of the time we see her. So, I'm going to pause and explain why this was an issue for me. So, she proves within a short while that she can feed without harming people because she lets a man go that she was feeding on. WIthout him being any wiser to the situation. Already, she has given herself a solution to the issue. She doesn't want to kill people and we see that she doesn't HAVE to. Instead, she barely takes what she needs and continues on half starved and drinking cold blood. You'd think s...

Eidolon - Review

This book was all that I remembered it to be and more! Brenshen and Ildiko were faced with something that neither one of them ever thought wouldbe an issue. It tested their relationship in a way that would have either broken them or made them stronger. This is a stpry of perserverence and love. The people of this world had to be willing to put their differences aside if they all wanted to survive. I really enjoyed all of this. Like it just elaborated that much more on the world and the characters. I am so glad that I now know that there is more in this series. This world is definitely one that wraps you up in it and doesn't want to let you go. This book is truly what started my love of alien romances when I first read it. Even though this book is fantasy and not alien, this was the first time that I encountered a love interest that was so visually different than the FMC. Elves and many other fantasy creatures in my books up til this point were still human presenting. Me...

Cheeky Royal - Review

This book was definitely interesting. I was able to consume it in no time! The chemistry between Penny and Sebastian was palpable! The situation that they found themselves in however was crazy! Mainly Penny. I mean, the issue of the cheating boyfriend and who he cheated with was just...interesting. I mean, I would hope to never find myself in such a situation. It'll be interesting to see how things shake out in the next book. Will Penny tell her family the truth of what happened with her ex? How is Sebastian going to take finding out the truth about Penny. There was a lot of emphasis put into him feeling better about being with Penny when he thought she didn't know who he was. Instead it was all in the plan this whole time. I'm hoping that he doesn't make her grovel too much with it, but seeing as how things ended....this should be interesting. This book was a nice change of pace from what I had been reading and I really liked it. I received the physical special editi...
