The Unexpected

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for giving an honest review! I enjoyed this book! It's been awhile since I read a book with some Greek Mythology in it so that was a throw back to simpler times for me. I will say that right around the middle it became a little bit obvious how things were going to play out but there was still some things that were unknown. I really want to know more about Athena and how she was able to fall in love and have a child. I'm hoping that there will be more of an explanation in the next book! After seeing the painting in the Claire's house, I'm ready to see where Mellie can go because right now she may not be strong but she's not weak. She doesn't know how to use her powers as of yet but oh when she does...she will be a force. It was very sad seeing what happened to her parents but watching her get to see who they were and how much they loved her was beautiful. As a mom myself I was able to relate to those moments so m

Beautiful Endings

This book had such a gorgeous ending! Even though I knew that these two ended up together but it still didn't prepare me for how beautiful their story was!! This is going to be a double review! I am going to also talk about Ties the Season since this wraps up things with both of these series! I was slightly spoiled because at the end there was supposed to be a scene that made us think that the Jaxon might have died but of course since we've read the Savage Love duet already we know that he lived. Even knowing that I still felt Cameron's pain when she woke up in the hospital and had no idea if Jaxon was alive or dead. This book takes you through the emotional gamet and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend this series to others.      The spice in this book was very nice especially once Jaxon and Cameron got back together. I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5. Overall this book was a very nice read. I enjoyed seeing how things played out with these two and l

Romeo & Juliet Gets Dark

This book has to be in my top 10 so far for this month...I'd even venture so far as to say for the year so far. It was so good!! This was retelling that I enjoyed from beginning to end!! I didn't want to put this down after I started it!! I highly recommend Rose and Roman's story!! I will preface this by saying that there is definitely a lot of triggers in this book. It is probably darker than the original in that Rose goes through so much more than the original Juliet does. Abuse from all sides and it just hurts to read. Her family are some of the worst people that I have read in a book. I won't spoil anything with them because there was someone who I thought was on her side but turned out to be worse than some of the others that I thought were bad. I really wanted Rose to get some backbone. She was definitely the definition of a damsel in distress but you can't blame her after seeing how she grew up and what she's delt with in life. There is also s
