Dark Russian Angel - Review

This book was...different. The characters in this book did not lead you to believe that they were what they were. Like this was supposed to be a bratva romance...I guess. It definitely did not have the vibes that this is what it was. The organization that was run by Andrusha felt like a 2 man show. Like there were other people there but they didn't seem to really do much. They were just kinda there to be called on when needed. Then they weren't actual like...characters. I doubt we really learned their names. I was really surprised. The way that things played out in this book also lead me to believe that these people are just really incompetent. I understand that the one guy is supposed to be the big bad but like....NO ONE else could do anything? Like this guy was just taking out other organizations left and right without ANY  help from anyone else? Like these guys were fumbling around trying to stop him from messing up their stuff. Most of them just plain couldn't do anyt...

A Wicked Dance of Obsidian and Light - ARC Review

This was the second book that I read after getting out of my reading slump and I liked it! There were moments when I was looking at Iris with a side eye but she pulled through in the end! Iris is our FMC and she is member of an organization that is out to get rid of any unruly demons that they find. Of course most of this group think in absolutes, like so many in these types of organizations do. Of course with groups like this, that leads to complications down the line when you end up finding someone who shakes your foundational beliefs. Enter Kaiden, the leader of the opposition group of demons. Together these two organizations are supposed to keep the humans safe from demons who step out of line. So what happens when the creature that you have been raised to hate and to believe can only be evil...aren't. Not only that but they make your heart race? This is the dilemma that Iris is facing after being saved by Kaiden. These types of plots usually are kind of annoying, especially w...

Surrender To Me -Review

This book was absolutely amazing!! I loved watching how things were progressing for Abbi and Henry! Then add onto that we saw Abbi try something for Henry's sake and this time it's the reverse! These two have been slowly but surely getting deeper into their relationship. Even though neither one of them have officially claimed the other really. We all know what it is. Then on top of that we have the unfortunate death of Henry's father and we see him introduce Abbi to everyone and have her at his side. Everything that happened after this was crazy! Even though I read this before it is still just as startling a revelation to learn the truth. Siblings behaving badly in this book for sure! Finally we also get to see Abbi's mother slowly but surely start coming around to liking Henry. I was so glad for her. Also, I would love to have a Margot in my life! Not only is she just an adventurous woman who lives her life to the fullest but also she is there for both Henry and Abbi....
