   I really liked this book!! I love books that are plot thick that also have spice in them! I do wish this one had more but the plot though!! This one reminds me of how I love The Demigods of San Francisco series. There is so much going on!! So many sub plots that all nicely get resolved. We have the mini plots along with the over arching plot and love story between Danica and Samael. This is how you do side plots!! I never really felt like there was much down time in the story. It's not high energy go the whole time but it's still pretty consistent on what is going on. You feel the urgency but you can still take in the sights, if that makes sense. I can't wait to get to the next book in this series to see how things go with Samael and Danica.     There wasn't much spice in this book. It's definitely still slowly burning.   I liked this book. It was a good start to a series. I've had this one sitting on my TBR for a good minute and finally decided to take the plunge and I'm not disappointed! The was a lot going on in the beginning that we had to unravel and even after the this story concluded there is still more unknowns out there. Our couple hasn't officially gotten together yet but I'm sure the powers that be have noticed how things are progressing with them. I can't wait for more on Danicas history and seeing how she comes to terms with having feelings for Samael.     There was just tension in this book pretty much.  No spice really. It is definitely firmly in the 2 category when it comes to spice but I'm hoping for more in the next book. Overall I gave this book a 4 because it was interesting enough to keep my attention and I want to learn more about these characters. I'd recommend this book and I'm picking up book 2 in this series!
