A Light In The Flame- Review

It's been awhile since I've read the previous book in this series so it took me a minute to remember who done people were. Once I did though, the story of what happened in book 1 in this series just flowed right back to me. I love this world, I love these characters and I love how things are unfolding. This one has to be one of the best in the series. There didn't feel like there was a lull at any point in the story. Everything seemed to flow so nicely. I love watching Sera learn that she's worth it and not just a means to an end. I loved seeing how she in turn showed Nyktos that he too shouldn't have to suffer due to some of the things in their world. He deserves love and to not have to just endure. So many things were touched on in this story that not only enriched the world but also the characters. I HURT for Sera when a side character died. I felt the righteous anger and pain she felt for them. I felt hopeless when she did. It was just a great ...

This book was just what I needed!! I felt myself going into a slump until I saw this book on my TBR. It wasn't too long and had an interesting blurb. And man, was thus the perfect choice!! This book was funny, fast paced and had the perfect amount of steam!! The plot works to fulfill a series while also allowing this first book to stand alone AND be an introduction. I almost couldn't put this one down!! I love it when I pick up and book and don't want to put it down. I felt invested in whether or not these two got together and I had strong emotes about the not so good people in their lives. There is so much more that can be added to this world and i feel like each book after is just going to build and expand on the previous one.        I would recommend this book to others. It might be awhile before I circle back to the second book but I enjoyed this one. The spice was perfect!! Spicy but it didn't flame the pages with how hot it was ...

This story was a continuation of another book I read (check out my review of Twisted Love if you haven't read it yet). I love getting glimpses of characters that we've met before in a new characters book! I was hoping we'd get more of Ava and Alex especially since these books run concurrent. We did get some interaction with the old crew but it's mostly focused on Bridget and Rhys. Which I'm definitely not going to complain about because I loved their story. They both had issues they had to work through but they got pass them to be together. The whole thing with Rhys being a secret noble felt like it was going to be the play to clean up the loose ends but I'm glad it didn't have a major role in anything. The moment he said he didn't know who his father was, I saw it coming but I wasn't sure who they would wrangle to be the mystery father. It was very interesting to see who they chose and how it played into the dynamics of the story. Al...
