No More Trauma

Another book down in my Cock-tober challenge and I couldn't be happier that this was one of the books that I choose to read!! I enjoyed the emotional depth in this book and the diversity. I know there are a lot of people who hate that (suck it up buttercup) but it made everything that much more relatable to me. Reading about the trauma that Rowan had to deal with as a child who watched his mother die and his father deal with that grief was very heartbreaking. How it shaped him and how he dealt with relationships was so beautifully done! In the same regard watching Zahra deal with the emotional backlash of a betrayal and a bad breakup was something that everyone can relate too because we've probably dealt with a jerkoff guy/lady at some point. Seeing them navigate their trauma together and make their relationship work, despite the many sabotages, was nice to see.
I will say if you're looking for spice early on in the book, this one isn't it. The spice happens after 50% at least. Though it was worth it. Not the spiciest but definitely nice. I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5. I enjoyed seeing them get together. Overall I'd give this book a 3.9 out of 5. There was some dragging points but it was still a great read. Everything flowed nicely and didn't really feel forces. I'd recommend this to others!!
