Dance With The Demon

I really liked this book!! I love books that are plot thick that also have spice in them! I do wish this one had more but the plot though!! This one reminds me of how I love The Demigods of San Francisco series. There is so much going on!! So many sub plots that all nicely get resolved. We have the mini plots along with the over arching plot and love story between Danica and Samael. This is how you do side plots!! I never really felt like there was much down time in the story. It's not high energy go the whole time but it's still pretty consistent on what is going on. You feel the urgency but you can still take in the sights, if that makes sense. I can't wait to get to the next book in this series to see how things go with Samael and Danica.
There wasn't much spice in this book. It's definitely still slowly burning. We got a bright spark in this one that I wanted to bask in. Samael was slowly breaking down the walls that Danica had around her heart until....he um...didn't. So we will see where things lead. I give this a 2 on the spice scale. Overall I liked the complex dynamics that this story brings to light. Danica doesn't really have things easy from everyone in her life. Even though she cares a lot about so many of them. Some begrudgingly respect her while others are loyal no matter what. The same goes for how Danica feels for them. She's got the tough but loving exterior. I definitely will continue to recommend this series to others. Overall I give this book a 4. Go check it out now!!
