Fire In His Embrace - Review
This was another great installment in this series by Ruby Dixon. Getting to know more about Emma and her past was very interesting and sad! Oh man, I felt so bad for her when she recounted her past to Zohr! She is definitely the most fiercest of the FMC's that we have met so far in the Fire Blood Dragon series. Emma is ready to get things done! It doesn't matter who she has to go against in order to get it done. In this book getting it done meant making sure that her and her dragon were safe. The rest of the characters that we've met up til this point make a reappearance in the story. I love that we keep up with Sasha and Claudia from the previous stories. And I believe that we are set up for the next couple in this story...Claudia's sister and Rast? I'm looking forward to meeting them! I think this might have been as far as I got before when I was reading this series. I might have read the next book but I don't remember. There was not a lot of down time in this story and much of what happens progressed everything along. From the story with the human women to the dragons. I think it would be extremely interesting to have a story from the perspective of one of the female dragons. Though of course we would be hard pressed to find a human man who can conquer them. It still would have been really cool to see. We learn so much through Zohr that just adds to the lore of the dragons that it made every moment in this story worth it. I think a lot of people will also be able to relate to Emma with her toxic family member. It's hard to let go of those who are family even though you know that they are not good for you. We get to see how she deals with that in this book. Definitely am on still on the recommendation train for this series!
The spice in this book was hot! Even though things started out with Emma having to be the initiator. Things progressed very well for them in that area and it was definitely hot! I give the spice in this book a 4. There didn't feel like any unnecessary moments that was forced on us. When it was happening but the details weren't needed there was FTB. Which usually, I am fully against but I like it when it's done in a story like this. Overall I give this book a 4 out of 5. I really enjoyed this and I feel like while I haven't gotten to Emma's level of BA, that I would love to have a friend like her. She is someone who is able to give you the bare facts and if you are in trouble, she would charge in after you! No holds bared! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves dragons and dystopian reads.
