For The Love of Demons

    This was a very hard to finish book. It didn't capture me like the previous book did. I'm not sure if there was too much going on or if this was just a transition book. Aria felt very lack luster in this one and there was no sense of urgency. Since they were on the hunt for the relics instead of defending from them being taken. Even still it has taken me just at a week to try to complete this book. 
       Aria is still on the hunt to find out who and what she is. The demons are still unsure of whether or not they want to keep her or if they are going to devour her soul before they return to hell. We are also introduced to what appears to be an angel. They've been visiting Aria randomly and then immediately disappearing before she can interact with them. Then she finally meets them. Based off the vibes she got from this person she definitely should have stranger dangered them immediately. Instead she allows them to touch her and maybe influence Sayah. I'll admit Sayah has been wildin a little bit lately but it's her power to learn. Instead she allows this person to do something to her that has had her feeling off ever since. I haven't even mentioned the dragon. Of course we left off with Aria in the clutches of Sir Surchion, which is exactly where we start here. He had the relics and then the demons are able to get them away from him at the end of the book. Of course this appears to come at the cost of Cains life. 
      By the time I reached the end, I was skipping through the book. Aria's bestie seems sketch at this point and the dangling of info is starting to feel like I'm being held hostage. Unfortunately I doubt that I'll be finishing this series. Maybe if I have run out of things to read I'll come back and read the next one. There was plenty of sex in this one. Aria got a taste of Cain and Elias at least twice but none for Dorian....the Incubus 😐. It was spicy in the beginning but then it was rather meh. So I'll give it a 3 out of 5 for the spice. Overall though I'll give it a 2 out of 5. No recs for this one :-(

   I finally decided to take the plunge and start this series. This book was really good and I felt so much for Elise. She has so much happening and to see her experience moments of pure happiness was the most rewarding part of this book. As for the men, whew, I really want to continue this series just to see how she is able to resolve the fact that two of the men are mortal enemies. How are they going to come to terms with each other? They are mortal enemies and their families have hated each other for generations!! The others I can see getting along just because but generational enemies?!?!?! That right there is enough to make me want to finish the series. End of The Month Wrap Up- September '23

   We are here again with another End of the Month Wrap Up. It's crazy to say that I can't believe it again but we have burned through this month in a blink. I have gone on a trip and come back and here we are, at the end of the month once again!! I didn't do as much reading as I wanted to since I fell into a slump during the middle of the month. Still all of the books that I read were interesting in their own way. So let's see where all these books fell this month!       Favorite Character:   Avery- Avery from Wonder Light is my selection as favorite character of the month!! I loved that she decided to take some time for herself and do something crazy. Sometimes doing something different can be just what we need to shock our systems and can reset us. Especially when we you go through something traumatic. I also loved her location choice! Most of the places that she went to in this book are places that I also visited. The Cliffiest of Cliff Hangers

    Whew,  I received this ARC for a honest review of this book. Let me just say that this was cruel and unusual punishment!! Like the title for this review says, the biggest cliff, in cliffhanger history ends this book.  The next page asks us to wait until next year for the next book.  I won't survive. I will spend the next week writing down theories of how this could continue.      The characters in this book are so memorable!! I love a snarky heroine and her dark hero. These two are actually a match made in... well hell? Darkness? I don't know but I can't wait to read more when the next book in this series drops. I definitely recommend this book!! The spice didn't come to the end but it was hot !! I give the spice 3 out of 5 simply because I wish there was more!! It was so good! Overall I'd rate this book 4 out of 5!! Great works building,  great characters, and plot. Everything is paced nicely and it definitely leaves you wanting more!!
