Reflected In You - Review

Wow. I almost don't know how to feel after reading this book. I mean Gideon and Ava are definitely running me through the emotional ringer with this one. I mean they are constantly on a roller coaster themselves! One day they are madly happy then the next day they are close to hating each other. Most of it honestly, is communication. They both have bad communication skills honestly. They feed each others hurt. Yet they are great when they are great. I mean there is a scene in this book where it's almost picture perfection. Then we get instances when one lashes out subconsciously at the other. The issue stemming from the fact that one is very close lipped about something. Which by the end of the book, it makes sense....my LORD, was I stressed while reading this. The amount of times that I stopped and just yelled at one of the other about what the heck they had going on. Like my goodness! I almost don't even know how we got to where we did by the end. The whiplash was real. Yet, I did enjoy reading this book. These two are something else. We get to meet Ava's dad finally!! We also see the reasoning that he gives for why he and Ava's mom aren't together. There is loving someone and then there is loving them while knowing that you can't give them what they need. That was amazing to see and I think Ava needed to see it as well. Especially with how things were going with her and Gideon at the time. I am team Kerri! I want more of him. I don't know where he will be by the time this ends but I enjoy getting to see him also navigate his crazy love life as much as I enjoy screaming at Ava and Gideon!

The spice in this book doesn't disappoint. Ava and Gideon, give you all you can handle and more. The make up and angry smexy times. All you can almost ask for! I would definitely give this a 5 out of 5 for the spice. Overall I would give this a 3. I wanted to give it higher but with the way they were going back and forth in this one, I almost feel like I need therapy! I mean they were all over the place. At the end it made sense but I mean dang! They need to work on a solid foundation. Something like what we got to see at the end of the book. I'm hoping we get less of the back and forth and more of the solidification of their relationship that we see near the end. I am going forward with this series of course. As for recommendations, I mean...you're here right? Wondering if you should continue into this book and trying to prepare for what you're going to get? Just go for it. Buy a doll that you can pretend is either Ava or Gideon at certain points and prepare to shake it, but definitely go for it!
