Toxic Poison

  This book was HEAVY on the smut. I'd say a good 80% of the book was them banging. Every guide book given to us to avoid being kidnapped and murdered was swiftly thrown out the window with this one. Alice, our FMC was down with whatever Granger said almost from the jump!! She out up a little fuss but not much. I felt like by 60% the book was pretty much over and I didn't understand why there was so much left. There was a little bit of lose ends left but not enough for 40% of the book. The last 15% was pretty much them rehashing the same thing over and over again. Our FMC didn't seem like she had any growth at all. Literally was still calling herself poison and toxic by the end of the book. I felt like more could have been done with how the sisters repaired their relationship. It was a footnote at the end. Wrapped up in 2-3 pages. 
      I was definitely disappointed in how this one ended. I liked the other ones so much. It makes me worry for the rest. There is still at least 3 more brothers left I believe, maybe 4. It's not looking good. I'd give the smut like a 2. Less is more. It just felt super cliche and just wasn't really spicy to me at all. Overall I'd give this book a 3 out of 5, and that's barely. It squeezed to 3. I'm not sure if I'll continue but i might give it one more try. Would not recommend.

   I finally decided to take the plunge and start this series. This book was really good and I felt so much for Elise. She has so much happening and to see her experience moments of pure happiness was the most rewarding part of this book. As for the men, whew, I really want to continue this series just to see how she is able to resolve the fact that two of the men are mortal enemies. How are they going to come to terms with each other? They are mortal enemies and their families have hated each other for generations!! The others I can see getting along just because but generational enemies?!?!?! That right there is enough to make me want to finish the series. End of The Month Wrap Up- September '23

   We are here again with another End of the Month Wrap Up. It's crazy to say that I can't believe it again but we have burned through this month in a blink. I have gone on a trip and come back and here we are, at the end of the month once again!! I didn't do as much reading as I wanted to since I fell into a slump during the middle of the month. Still all of the books that I read were interesting in their own way. So let's see where all these books fell this month!       Favorite Character:   Avery- Avery from Wonder Light is my selection as favorite character of the month!! I loved that she decided to take some time for herself and do something crazy. Sometimes doing something different can be just what we need to shock our systems and can reset us. The Cliffiest of Cliff Hangers

    Whew,  I received this ARC for a honest review of this book. Let me just say that this was cruel and unusual punishment!! Like the title for this review says, the biggest cliff, in cliffhanger history ends this book.  The next page asks us to wait until next year for the next book.  I won't survive. I will spend the next week writing down theories of how this could continue.      The characters in this book are so memorable!! I love a snarky heroine and her dark hero. These two are actually a match made in... well hell? Darkness? I don't know but I can't wait to read more when the next book in this series drops. I definitely recommend this book!! The spice didn't come to the end but it was hot !! I give the spice 3 out of 5 simply because I wish there was more!! It was so good! Overall I'd rate this book 4 out of 5!! Great works building,  great characters, and plot. Everything is paced nicely and it definitely leaves you wanting more!!
