Let's Talk: Special Book Editions

Welcome to my Ted Talk, lol just kidding, welcome to my blog where the love of books is the main thing that I promote here! Today we are going to talk about Special Editions!! I've just gotten into the world of special editions and how they can be so easy to turn a SE from something that is amazing to something that can get you torn apart. Books are something that  is very sacred to those who love them so when Book Box companies decide to take these on they take on a big undertaking. There are so many different things for them to consider when trying to make a good SE! I truly tip my hat to them! So I wanna know, what do you do with your SE's? How do you decide on displaying them? Do you read them? I need to know the deets!!

So, I'm going to answer some of my own questions. First, I never was a big collector after the ebooks came out. I was always someone who loves to carry her library with her. Until I met someone who changed me from being just someone who admires SE's and keeps it pushing to someone who has signed up and tried several book boxes. Shout out to my bestie and fellow book lover Nikki! Check below for her socials and give her a follow as well. While most of the books that are being done by some of these book boxes are the trendy it books, I still give them a try. If the books are on KU that makes it ten times better because that means I'll more than likely read the book on that platform so I don't end up abusing my beautiful SE's! Since I'm a romance book lover and I also like my books with some spice, I have definitely read some books that haven't had spice but I definitely prefer them nice and hot! Right now, I'm at the point where I want to get some special editions of the books that hooked me into reading and kept me stalking the book shelves of the library and other retail stores. A lot of them would be a huge undertaking for someone to do since they are long series, look at you Dark Hunter and Carpathian series. I wish that some of the publishing companies would try to bring out special editions of books since right now there is definitely a big market for it. Everyone wants special editions of the books they love. Right now, it's mainly the hot and trendy books that are getting all the love but we love the authors that have been in the game for awhile as well and want to see them get some recognition! Are there any books you'd love to see get the special edition treatment that was written more than 5+ years ago?

As for displaying my books, right now I am unwrapping my books and keeping them in containers until I am able to move into a space that will allow me to have a book shelf! Then I'm going to be the most annoying person ever and display them front and center in my house so people can't help but admire the pretties!! I think that when I can display them, the books that mean the most to me are going to be the ones that are displayed front and center. I don't care how they look. That's how my shelf will be. In order from authors names and then in random spots there will be the ones that had a profound affect on me. How do you display your SE's?? Color coded? Alphabetical? Series name? The Queens must know!!

In conclusion, there are so many different ways to enjoy your special editions that no one way is the right way. So get out there and post some pictures so that all of us book lovers can drool over the gorgeous editions that have been created! Next week, I'm going to delve into the mysterious world of book boxes. Which ones have you tried? Which ones do you recommend and don't and why? I'm new to all of this so I want all the information! Until next times Queens, keep your crown high and your books spicy!!
