End of the Month Wrap Up June/July

Image
Here is my once again late End of the Month Wrap Up. Starting in August, I'm going to try to go back to the one a month format. It just feels like the days are passing by so quickly and before I know it, it's the end of the month and I am never ready. Like already we are half way through August and I have to start getting my wrap up for this month prepared. Anyway, for June and July, I was able to make a video wrap up as well, if you'd like to see it, it is already up on my Tik Tok. I'll link it below. So this is going to be a mash up of the books that I read in June and July, I will try to keep them in order by the month I read them. So the first 9 books are for June and the remaining 8 are for July! Here we go!!   Favorite Character  - Ildiko/ Catarina:   For June, my favorite character was Ildiko from the Wraith Kings series. I loved that she was so open minded and didn't allow her circumstances to define how she took in what happens to her. Instead of being mea...

The Wrath of Roses - Review

For some reason it took me awhile to get into this book. Once I did though, I just burned through it. This was a dark read for sure, the Beast was everything that you would think a beast would be. He was a savage creature who didn't care about anyone and would savage you at the tiniest provocation. That extended to the people of his castle who were stuck in the curse with him. I will say that this surprised me. I really thought that the Beast would have a soft spot for certain people in his castle like he does in the story we all have come to know and love. Nope not the case at all. Which ties into the story as well. This was something that I kind of wish was explored a little more. Like that the servants had more of a chance to speak with Fleur (Belle) or Gabriel (Gaston). What was happening with them was not as explored as the story of what happened to Renard (The Beast). Fleur of course is our book loving FMC in this retelling. She feels very modern in a world that is still any...

The Wild Man - Review

I have to say that this book definitely is not for the faint of heart. If you are someone who finds certain things irredeemable then this book will not be fore you. You will definitely want to check your triggers before you read this book. I am apparently unhinged so I just dived in and took the book for what it was. At first, I was instantly like oh no...I don't know if he can come back from this. Then as things progressed between Everlee and Wild Man, I found that I could forgive him. Though it definitely would take some time for me to come to terms with things if I was in her shoes. I liked how the story was done. It definitely did not take the easy approach and Alex Grayson was not afraid to go there. While the story of what happened to Wild Man and how he ended up where he was, is tragic, I'm glad that it shaped him into who he was. Ironically enough, I disliked how her brothers and father treated Everlee once she came back to civilization. The way that they believed that...
