Destined For an Early Grave - Review
This was another amazing entry in this series! I forgot about how gut wrenching this book in particular was. There was a lot of loss and also a lot of growth for both Cat and Bones in this particular book. I loved it. They both realized that if they wanted to be together that they would have to choose each other every time. Of course we also had another major change for Cat and a few others in the book. This brought about a lot of other things in the story that just made everything that much more titillating. I enjoyed watching how the people around them interact with all the big things that was going on with the story. It was definitely crazy and fun to read. Though this one came with some permanent endings as well. It was kinda sad. It hit me right in the emotes this time. Surprisingly, even though this one was a re-read, I don't remember some of the sadder moments that happen in this book. They managed to sneak on in and hit me and it was so effective. I can't wait for the next entry in this series, though I think I am going to read Mencheeres book before I move into the next Cat and Bones book. Which ironically, this won't be a re-read for me! I never read Mencheeres story when I was originally reading this series.I went straight into the next Cat and Bones book and was shocked when Mencheeres had a spouse! So, time to experience it first hand this time!
The spice in this book was hot! It was essentially a make up scene and so it was definitely very nice. I give it a 4 out of 5. Though there was only one. There were other intimate moments that weren't spicy and weren't necessarily with Cat & Bones. I enjoyed them both getting the opportunity to be vulnerable with characters that weren't each other. They were able to showcase that you CAN have platonic relationships with people who aren't your spouse without it jeopardizing your actual relationship. Of course a lot of the people that this happens with are like hundreds of years old so of course they've had time to separate their feelings in healthy ways but I digress. I really enjoyed this book and would give it a 4 out of 5 on the enjoyment scale. Definitely pick up this series if you haven't, it is so worth it. I of course listened to the graphic audio version and it was amazing! Highly recommend!
