American Queen - Review

   This book was so unexpectedly good! I listened to this book on audible and I really enjoyed the narrator. She did such a good job of differentiating between the character voices. Even when there was more than one person talking in a conversation she made it unique. I really look forward to reading the rest of this series especially with how this one ended! I can't believe that this happened this way! It will make what happens in the next book so interesting! I hope that the hype stays as good as it has been. In this book we meet Greer, the perfect political princess who falls in love with Maxen who just so happens to become the President. Though through a twist of fate, she ends up also falling for Embry Moore who is not only Maxen's best friend but also his vice president. The way that things played out in this book gave such a good explanation of how things work with people who live in this lifestyle. The narration added to how amazing I was able to find this book. It is definitely going to rank up there when it comes to the end of the year awards for best narration! It is really hard to not give away plot points when describing this book but I really liked the writing style overall. This is not the first Sierra Simone book that I have read and she definitely has made sure that this will not be the last book that I read from her either.

    The spice in this book was amazing. The way that the characters talked to each other was H O T. I definitely have to give this book a 4 for the spice. There wasn't a lot of it but what was there was worth it. I hope that we get more in the upcoming books. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I like the way that the 3 characters were handled. In so many books things just work out so easily that it just doesn't seem plausible. These characters have complicated life issues that affect them in this story. I like that they have to actually talk and communicate about each other. They never thought that they would be a 3 part couple together but they now know that they could possibly make it work and I love that for them. I give this book a 4. I can't wait to dive into book 2! I would recommend this to anyone who loves why choose as well as a little BDSM.

   I finally decided to take the plunge and start this series. This book was really good and I felt so much for Elise. She has so much happening and to see her experience moments of pure happiness was the most rewarding part of this book. As for the men, whew, I really want to continue this series just to see how she is able to resolve the fact that two of the men are mortal enemies. How are they going to come to terms with each other? They are mortal enemies and their families have hated each other for generations!! End of The Month Wrap Up- September '23

   We are here again with another End of the Month Wrap Up. It's crazy to say that I can't believe it again but we have burned through this month in a blink. I have gone on a trip and come back and here we are, at the end of the month once again!! I didn't do as much reading as I wanted to since I fell into a slump during the middle of the month. Still all of the books that I read were interesting in their own way. So let's see where all these books fell this month!       Favorite Character:   Avery- Avery from Wonder Light is my selection as favorite character of the month!! I loved that she decided to take some time for herself and do something crazy. Sometimes doing something different can be just what we need to shock our systems and can reset us. The Cliffiest of Cliff Hangers

    Whew,  I received this ARC for a honest review of this book. Let me just say that this was cruel and unusual punishment!! Like the title for this review says, the biggest cliff, in cliffhanger history ends this book.  The next page asks us to wait until next year for the next book.  I won't survive. I will spend the next week writing down theories of how this could continue.      The characters in this book are so memorable!! I love a snarky heroine and her dark hero. These two are actually a match made in... well hell? Darkness? I don't know but I can't wait to read more when the next book in this series drops. I definitely recommend this book!! The spice didn't come to the end but it was hot !! I give the spice 3 out of 5 simply because I wish there was more!! It was so good! Overall I'd rate this book 4 out of 5!! Great works building,  great characters, and plot. Everything is paced nicely and it definitely leaves you wanting more!!
