Halfway to the Grave - Review

I devoured this audible in it's dramatized form. It helped me fall back in love with this book and Cat & Bones!! Cat is a Sassy woman who is out to get all vampires. Until she falls for one. Bones was an unexpected find amongst the vampires Cat was hunting and meeting him changes everything. As we traverse the mystery of the disappearing women, we encounter ghouls, ghost and bad people who open Cats eyes to the realities of the world she lives in. Through this experience she falls for Bones as they go through many life or death situations. Unfortunately Cat still has deal with parents and family members who won't let her forget what she is. The generational trauma that bleeds from her mother affects Cat in the most devastating way. Driving her away from Bones despite how much she cares for him, the ending of this book left me wanting more and also sad. I have finished this series before but it's been awhile and rereading it brought back all the feels! I can't wait to jump into One Foot in the Grave next!!
The spice in this book was ok. I expected more from the dramatized audio version but it was ok. I give it a 3 out of 5. I have to see if it's more graphic in the book. I can't remember. Overall, I give this book a 4 out of 5! I loved it. The dramatized audio was great and I can't wait to listen to more of this series in this form! I recommend this to all PNR lovers!! Definitely can't go wrong with Cat & Bones!!
