End of the Month Wrap Up - November '24

Another month has ended. This month along with the end of the previous month has been very heavy for me. It is definitely reflected in how many books I was able to read this month. I only was able to get to 7 books this month. A lot of them were re-reads and then the rest were either ARC reads or audible. I spent a lot of time with family since there was a major loss for me this season. I enjoyed the books that I did read and I don't think I DNF'd any books this month. Which is a return to my normal since I never used to DNF books. With that being said, lets look back at what I read this month:

Favorite Character - Shara (Queen Takes Rook): I really loved Shara in this book! She was showing that she was prepared to do what is needed. We are able to see her put her trust in her men in action. She is able to stay cool and level headed between all the things that are thrown her way in this book. Then we also get the reveals with what New York actually means to her. It was so emotional and I think reading this after I becoming a mother made me that much more emotional while reading this. Loved it. Recommend highly.

Best Cover - Believe In Me: This cover is gorgeous. I'm not sure why there are two covers for this book? The one that I have on here for this book though is definitely the one that I love the most. This beautiful gorgeous woman one the cover! LOVE. It definitely just makes me want to pick this book up and read it. It's relatable, she could be a friend or family member and the title. AMAZING. Also recommend this series.

Best Voice Actors - At Grave's End: The graphic audio for this series has been amazing. I really liked how every character is unique and I think that throughout the emotional part of this series was handled beautifully. I definitely wish that all books could have a graphic audio and have voice actors that are this amazing at the characters that they are asked to embody. I love Cat and Bones so much. Another series that I recommend.

Spiciest Book - Split: Kara and Flynn. Need I say more? I mean they are amazing! They are going through a truly tumultuous time right now in Glynfyls. They are still managing to steam up the pages. I mean, I love every minute of them being together. They are a great couple and I'm hoping that they also continue being great characters in this series. Definitely HIGH on the recommend list.

Top Baddie - Mother/Jane: Well the name placement is a mini spoiler but since we just met her in this book anyway, I guess it doesn't matter. Well she is definitely still a formidable foe. I can't even begin to imagine what could possibly have happened that has the people we know at odds with her. This seems to have been going on for so long. She seems to have so much power that I just can't wait to learn everything there is to know about what has happened! Like I already said, this series is a HIGH on the recommend list.

Best Storyline- Queen Takes Rook: Seeing how things are progressing with Shara and how she is showing her growth has been amazing. Seeing the relation between her and her guys grow has been great as well. Learning about her mother and how things actually went down in New York was probably the best reveal so far! I loved getting more information on how she came to be. I can't wait for more in the upcoming books.

Book of the Month - Queen Takes Rook: I really enjoyed this book. It gave everything that it needed and left us wanting for nothing. I am so glad that this was one that I decided to re-read first. When I'm done, I am going to be sad but at least I got to enjoy this series again. Definitely on the recommend list!

Author of the Month - AK Nevermore: It's the back to back releases for me. We have been getting FED this year! I am so glad that I was able to discover this author because the series that I have been able to read and enjoy, have been amazing! I have really loved the series I've read. Nearly to obsession and I have to give flowers when they are due. I look forward to next year and whatever is in the future! Definitely check this author out because she is on my one click list!
