Loving At Their Own Pace

  This book says its a novella but it felt longer than that. I'd give it full length status. It was also very face paced. The character met and were in love within a week!! I usually don't go for insta love but I needed something light and easy after the hard read prior. This one had me interested in the beginning but after hearing the word play between the characters it kinda took me out of it. I skim read the end portion of the book. I was still happy for the characters for finding someone who would love them no matter what. We all deserve that. It was also different getting a full figured woman as the FMC. It's becoming more the norm and I love to see it. Representation matters. I feel like the issues that bigger women deal with were brought up in this book and the MMC of course handled things beautifully. 
      I rated this book 2 out of 5 though. Mainly because some aspects of the story just took me right out. Like the words that they used during the sexy scenes just seemed to be said more like it was funny than sexy. So that kinda took me out of the moment. I'm sure that it wasn't intentional but idk. I just didn't feel the dominance that the MMC was trying to portray. Not because he was a more emotional character or anything but maybe because the book was so fast paced that I didn't have time to settle that type of vibe with him. That's definitely not fault of the author. We all need these face paced quick reads every once in awhile. I would give the sexy scenes probably a 2 out of 5 as well because they were very wordy and not in the way I like. I'm not sure if I'm going to continue this series or not and idk on the recs. Maybe if someone needs a quick palate cleanser I might hit them with this as a rec.

   I finally decided to take the plunge and start this series. This book was really good and I felt so much for Elise. She has so much happening and to see her experience moments of pure happiness was the most rewarding part of this book. As for the men, whew, I really want to continue this series just to see how she is able to resolve the fact that two of the men are mortal enemies. How are they going to come to terms with each other? They are mortal enemies and their families have hated each other for generations!! The others I can see getting along just because but generational enemies?!?!?! That right there is enough to make me want to finish the series. End of The Month Wrap Up- September '23

   We are here again with another End of the Month Wrap Up. It's crazy to say that I can't believe it again but we have burned through this month in a blink. I have gone on a trip and come back and here we are, at the end of the month once again!! I didn't do as much reading as I wanted to since I fell into a slump during the middle of the month. Still all of the books that I read were interesting in their own way. So let's see where all these books fell this month!       Favorite Character:   Avery- Avery from Wonder Light is my selection as favorite character of the month!! I loved that she decided to take some time for herself and do something crazy. Sometimes doing something different can be just what we need to shock our systems and can reset us. The Cliffiest of Cliff Hangers

    Whew,  I received this ARC for a honest review of this book. Let me just say that this was cruel and unusual punishment!! Like the title for this review says, the biggest cliff, in cliffhanger history ends this book.  The next page asks us to wait until next year for the next book.  I won't survive. I will spend the next week writing down theories of how this could continue.      The characters in this book are so memorable!! I love a snarky heroine and her dark hero. These two are actually a match made in... well hell? Darkness? I don't know but I can't wait to read more when the next book in this series drops. I definitely recommend this book!! The spice didn't come to the end but it was hot !! I give the spice 3 out of 5 simply because I wish there was more!! It was so good! Overall I'd rate this book 4 out of 5!! Great works building,  great characters, and plot. Everything is paced nicely and it definitely leaves you wanting more!!
