Real Life vs Reel Life

Do you like reading books that coincide with your real life? Maybe you were reading a romance book and one of the main characters happen to have the same career or job that you have or have had in the past. Does this make you more likely to read the book or do you find yourself comparing everything to what is in the book? The most common job that I had was as someone working in a grocery store. With most of the popular books being bIllionaire romance, I know it's probably less common now to find books were the main characters have basic careers. On the off chance that you do find a book like that. Does it make the story more interesting and relatable or does it make the book lean more towards a DNF for you?
I think that it would be very interesting to see that a character had a job that I could relate to. So whenever I come across a character who has a customer service type job, I always feel for them. That field is not for the faint of heart that's for sure! Since this is such a generic job, I don't usually see anything that could take me out of a story. Though even some of the billionaire romances involve some jobs that people have knowledge of. 

I admire authors who take the time to really research the field that they are giving to some of their characters so that things feel authentic to the reader. Whether you're someone who has basic knowledge of a field or a seasoned professional, things make sense and could indeed be something that happens to these characters. Have you ever read a book that just completely took you out of the story due to something being grossly inaccurate? Let me know in the comments!

   I finally decided to take the plunge and start this series. This book was really good and I felt so much for Elise. She has so much happening and to see her experience moments of pure happiness was the most rewarding part of this book. End of The Month Wrap Up- September '23

   We are here again with another End of the Month Wrap Up. It's crazy to say that I can't believe it again but we have burned through this month in a blink. I have gone on a trip and come back and here we are, at the end of the month once again!! I didn't do as much reading as I wanted to since I fell into a slump during the middle of the month. Still all of the books that I read were interesting in their own way. So let's see where all these books fell this month!       Favorite Character:   Avery- Avery from Wonder Light is my selection as favorite character of the month!! I loved that she decided to take some time for herself and do something crazy. Sometimes doing something different can be just what we need to shock our systems and can reset us. The Cliffiest of Cliff Hangers

    Whew,  I received this ARC for a honest review of this book. Let me just say that this was cruel and unusual punishment!! Like the title for this review says, the biggest cliff, in cliffhanger history ends this book.  The next page asks us to wait until next year for the next book.  I won't survive. I will spend the next week writing down theories of how this could continue.      The characters in this book are so memorable!! I love a snarky heroine and her dark hero. These two are actually a match made in... well hell? Darkness? I don't know but I can't wait to read more when the next book in this series drops. I definitely recommend this book!! The spice didn't come to the end but it was hot !! I give the spice 3 out of 5 simply because I wish there was more!! It was so good! Overall I'd rate this book 4 out of 5!! Great works building,  great characters, and plot. Everything is paced nicely and it definitely leaves you wanting more!!
