Believe in Me - Review

I liked this book but it definitely didn't hit for me like the first one did. There were moments where I was like...that's a cringe thing to say. Then the ending for me was just not it. I didn't like that Renee is a doctor who knows how to manage these types of situations she found herself in at the end of the book only to be acting a whole fool. It makes sense that she has never experienced this before but you'd think she'd be equipped with the tools she needed to handle things a little better. I felt like it was very out of character for her and I just kinda felt thrown out of the story. Other than that, I think this book really did a good job of displaying growth. Both of these characters had history's that kind of inhibited them from being the best that they could be and luckily with each other they were able to overcome them. Even though they had their rough patches, their love was strong enough to survive the mistakes that they both made. I really enjoyed seeing more of the relationships between the sisters and how they were there for each other even though they were all a little crazy at times and have busy lives. Though the whole throwing in of the children thing kinda felt a little out of left field, due to the circumstances, I'll let it slide.

The spice in this book was good. Renee and Zo were like teenagers. They were doing it everywhere and anywhere and I was happy for Renee. I give the spice a 4 out of 5. Overall I gave this book a 3 out of 5. The ending and the surprise children kinda made this slide down a rank for me. It just felt weird and didn't fit with the characters we knew. I mean one of those is definitely something that you have a conversation with someone about prior to trying to marry them. I mean, I understand that things happen but getting surprised with that is not how things go. I guess, I'm angry for the affected character there because that was wild. Then the behavior of a person who owns a whole pregnancy center was a little crazy too. I do want to see how things go with the last sister, so I'm going to stick this through. I also want to know if one of the reveals that we get at the end of this book is going to play a part in the relationship that the sisters have in the next book. I would still recommend this book to others who are looking for a nice contemporary romance. I think that the cons for me might not be that big of a deal for someone else and if that's the case than this is a super solid read!
