Um... What?

  So.... this book started out good.  The spice was off the charts and I was willing to overlook some things and then by the end.... complete crash and burn. Like,  I'm not even sure what exactly happened to make it turn the way it did. Like, it started out with the stalker vibes which, I was going to overlook because J/P I can get pass. Then the ending chapters happened and I just was not here for it.  Nothing really seemed resolved between the characters.  Like stuff just happened and we were supposed to overlook it. This book felt like what people think romance readers read when in actually it just leaves most of us sitting there like wtf. Like the MMC essentially was a creepy, abusive, psycho. He wasn't committed to being a badass or crying.  I'm down with men showing true emotion in books but the emotion in this one just felt... random. Like a stalker turning into a live is done well in Haunting Adaline but the stealer in this one was weird and I feel like everyone in the FMCs life just kinda accepted everything.  No one questioned anything!! It was weird! Then towards the end the MMC literally was torturing the FMC and was just like,  in dickmatized and in love... imma just go with it. Weirdest ending ever. 
     I have this book 2 stars overall. Only reason it's that high was because the spice was hot af.... until those final chapters. The story itself was also good.... I'd you ignore some of the plot holes and then how it fell into the abyss at the end. Would only say to pick this up if you want to read some hot sex scenes. I wouldn't get invested in the story at all because it's just a big wtf.

   I finally decided to take the plunge and start this series. This book was really good and I felt so much for Elise. She has so much happening and to see her experience moments of pure happiness was the most rewarding part of this book. As for the men, whew, I really want to continue this series just to see how she is able to resolve the fact that two of the men are mortal enemies. How are they going to come to terms with each other? They are mortal enemies and their families have hated each other for generations!! The others I can see getting along just because but generational enemies?!?!?! That right there is enough to make me want to finish the series. There are so many things that are thrown in here that I'm like, GIVE ME MORE!! I have to know what's going on! The principle, what's his deal because I just feel like he's involved some how. End of The Month Wrap Up- September '23

   We are here again with another End of the Month Wrap Up. It's crazy to say that I can't believe it again but we have burned through this month in a blink. I have gone on a trip and come back and here we are, at the end of the month once again!! I didn't do as much reading as I wanted to since I fell into a slump during the middle of the month. Still all of the books that I read were interesting in their own way. So let's see where all these books fell this month!       Favorite Character:   Avery- Avery from Wonder Light is my selection as favorite character of the month!! I loved that she decided to take some time for herself and do something crazy. Sometimes doing something different can be just what we need to shock our systems and can reset us. The Cliffiest of Cliff Hangers

    Whew,  I received this ARC for a honest review of this book. Let me just say that this was cruel and unusual punishment!! Like the title for this review says, the biggest cliff, in cliffhanger history ends this book.  The next page asks us to wait until next year for the next book.  I won't survive. I will spend the next week writing down theories of how this could continue.      The characters in this book are so memorable!! I love a snarky heroine and her dark hero. These two are actually a match made in... well hell? Darkness? I don't know but I can't wait to read more when the next book in this series drops. I definitely recommend this book!! The spice didn't come to the end but it was hot !! I give the spice 3 out of 5 simply because I wish there was more!! It was so good! Overall I'd rate this book 4 out of 5!! Great works building,  great characters, and plot. Everything is paced nicely and it definitely leaves you wanting more!!
