Warm and Gooey

Image
This book was so good! I enjoyed just about every minute of reading it. It was such a heart warming read!! It definitely is one that will leave you with hope and just an over all cozy feeling. Getting to know Noah and Lucy has been a fun experience. They were both such polar opposites on paper but brought out the best in each other. They had enough things in common though that they were able to understand each other on a basic level and it helped keep them coming back. This is the second book in a series. I didn't read the first one but I just might have to go back and read about Piper and Aiden. They seemed to have a much darker story to how they got together but seeing them in this one was nice!! I hope the next book is for Steph!! I want to know more about her and her relationship with Riley! I also really enjoy books where the characters are very entwined with each other like these ones are.       The spice in this book was very good!! Whew L...

Witch Gone Bad

Image
This book didn't really hit for me. It didn't have enough depth to it to make me enjoy it. The beginning started out good but everything kind of fizzled after that. When Mira didn't even give him the time to explain himself despite saying that she missed him and had strong feelings for him....that was a bit meh. I could kinda understand because of the trauma but at least listen to him for a second. This is what made it hard for me to believe their love story. Like, once they get back together with little to no conversation, they are declaring their love and going at it. I'm just like...but how. Yall don't even know each other for real and the last time Mira saw Peter she was rejecting him....I think they needed more time for their story to grow. The story of the sirens and the different magics was good. I liked learning about the town of witches and the water goddess Moryana. Everything just felt a little jumbled to me.     There was a sp...

Heavy on the Bully

Image
So, this is going to be a spoiler review because I have to process these feelings. This book was a lot. Not to say it was triggering it was just a lot. Like in most of the bully romance books that I read, I like there to be redeeming qualities about the bullies and for them to not be jerk faces through the entire series and for them to finally make themselves likeable by the end. Like that's a lot of negativity to process. You're supposed to trust your partner and love them so if things start out with them bullying you and just plain hurting you for fun, I don't see how there is even room for trust to grow. How do you believe them if they have shown you for an unknown amount of time that they hate you and would be perfectly fine if you died? Like what? That's where I am currently with this boom. I was starting to like Enzo but then the end of the book happened and I was like wow. This is some dirty ish, but I guess it makes sense since none of the...

A Twisted History

Image
I currently am unsure of how to feel about this book. The FMC is smart but dumb at the same time. She's privileged, which allows her to make silly mistakes. She's computer smart but also.... kinda technology stupid? Does that even make sense? As the daughter of a mob boss she's had the ability to do what she wants, when she wants,  however she wants. She's smart enough with computers that she wrote a crazy code that is the crux of the problem in this book and yet.... she didn't think to ditch her phone when she was hiding from her dad? Like, he still had your number, he can still track you. Then on top of that she also kept her car. Which pride wouldn't allow her to just dump. I get it, it has sentimental value but girl,  your dad and everyone in your world will know its you as soon as they see your car. So instead of getting a different car, she drives that one around after her dad attempted to kill her. Then is surprised when she's tracked ...

Let's Talk: Special Book Editions

Image
Welcome to my Ted Talk, lol just kidding, welcome to my blog where the love of books is the main thing that I promote here! Today we are going to talk about Special Editions!! I've just gotten into the world of special editions and how they can be so easy to turn a SE from something that is amazing to something that can get you torn apart. Books are something that  is very sacred to those who love them so when Book Box companies decide to take these on they take on a big undertaking. There are so many different things for them to consider when trying to make a good SE! I truly tip my hat to them! So I wanna know, what do you do with your SE's? How do you decide on displaying them? Do you read them? I need to know the deets!!               So, I'm going to answer some of my own questions. First, I never was a big collector after the ebooks came ...

Image
Another month down!! Can you believe we are already closer to the end of the year then the end?! I sure can't believe it. This month is going to be action packed! I have some ARCs that I will be reading and this month marks the beginning of me bringing back my blog post!! I'm going to try to spend more of my down time having some nice topics for us to discuss!! As for now, I'm going to go ahead and give you fine folks a recap of the month of July!!        I   really enjoyed all 10 of these books! Everything has flowed for me this month with these reads. They all called to me when it was time for me to read them. But time for the big moment, time to pick the books in these categories: Spiciest book, Best Storyline, Favorite Character, Author of the Month and Book of the Month. Spiciest Book: Glitch- This book burned me every time I turned the page! It was nice and I felt very connected to Ara when I read this book since I am a big gamer and I...

Completing the Circle

Image
I just finished the third book in Alpha Compound series by Anna Fury, Wide Awake. This book was about Brady, Conner and Carmen. I didn't really connect with this book like I feel like I connected with the others. I guess maybe it felt insta lovish? Especially since they were essentially being intimate almost from the time they met.  Like I have no issues with that in a book but I feel like I didn't get a chance to enjoy them getting to know each other.  The other books in this series flesh out the relationship between the characters a lot better.  Again I think that's because Carmen was joining an already established mating. I did enjoy learning more about the omegas and getting more info on the other packs.  I really want to see if we get a series on some of them.  Especially Tyler since we see them interacting with Mitchell's pack the most. There was some plot movement and set up but I feel like it all happened on the tail end o...
