Madness of the Horde King - Review

This was a good read!! This book delves into a lot of trauma so make sure that you check your triggers before reading. This book was a lot darker than the others when you delve into what happened to the characters that make them what and who they are. It was so sad yet you can see how it influenced their everyday decisions. It's always the biggest and scariest of characters that have the softest of hearts. We definitely see that with Davik and I really liked seeing the depth of it because this man experienced a lot. He definitely could have ended up being a villain but luckily had some good influences in his life that made him the best man and leader. We got to meet some of the Vorrakar from previous books which was cool. I almost wished we got to see full interactions with the couples but its mainly the MMCs we see. I liked that we were introduced to powers and things outside of normal Horde life. It adds a new dynamic to this series that I hope gets explored more.  Th...

King of Depravity - Review

I enjoyed reading this book. Killian and Chloe were one of those couples that just fell into each other. They didn't let any type of doubt really stop them from being together. I really love when I get a chance to read stories like this. Sometimes, I really dislike slow burns because it is mainly the characters fighting their feelings for each other and using anything as a reason for why they can't be together. These two however, do not let anything like that stop them. The issues they face are mainly external or the ones that were internal, were their traumas. I liked that they were both understanding and were able to work around that trauma with each other. I noticed however, that I picked the wrong series to start in this world. I will definitely jump into the story of the Kincaid brothers and then jump back into the Smiths.  The spice in this book was very nice. I liked getting to see these two overcome their issues surrounding intimacy. 4 out of 5 for the spice. Overall,...

The Curse That Binds - Review

This was a really, really good read. I enjoyed it so much even though I knew what was going to happen when we got to the end. The journey of Memnon and Roxilana was still just as good. The heart break that our characters suffer and the romance that they find is on another level. We get to see where Roxilana came from and how she met Memnon. I didn't think that we would hear about his family but it was indeed just as amazing.  And just as sad when we lost them. We see how Memnon went from being a normal man to what we see when we meet him in the first book. I can't wait to see how this goes in the third and final book in this story. I really can't stand the fae that we had the misfortune of meeting and I hope that she gets her just deserts! This was another great entry in the series by this author and I haven't had a miss from her yet! The spice in this book was really good and very spicy. I would give it a 4 out of 5. Almost a 5 out of 5. I chemistry between these two...
