  Another solid entry in the Fireblood Dragons series by Ruby Dixon. I don't think I made it this far in this series when I was first reading this series so it feels like a whole new world that I'm learning. Gwen and Vaan were a nice couple. I liked that the more places that we discover, we are able to find more women who are able to bond with the dragons. I hope that we get some more dragons in this area and I think that we also are going to get a female dragon at some point. I wonder if we will get a garderner or someone who is proficient at growing things to assist the people get some things back up and running. Maybe even an engineer? That would be so cool to see someone attempting to rebuild some of the things in the world that were lost. I mean a great point was brought up in this book. There are people with medical conditions that would not survive long in this world due to them not being able to get their medication. Maybe we can even find a chemist that survived. Being...

 This book is so good. I really enjoyed re-reading this book! The characters have depth, the story is one that is easy to get hooked into. As an older sibling, I definitely felt the responsibility that Dianna felt when it came to her sister. I think that is something that a lot of people are going to be able to relate to when reading this. I have definitely wanted to be that friend that is always on demon time and Dianna is definitely that. She's the friend who convinces you to do something crazy and is also there to make sure that no one messes with you when the crazy blows up in your face. Getting to know her and seeing her struggles really endears her to you. Then of course we get Samkiel/Liam who is going through a god's version of a mid-life crisis and depression. Getting to see him and all his sadness was also in a way very nice. I loved getting to grow with these characters and then watch them slowly fall for each other.  Can I just say, that I am still surprised by how much I like this series? I mean, it's rare that there are series that are extremely popular that I tend to like but this one has definitely made me like it. This book definitely brought out the darker side of this world. Even though we have definitely had our toes in it in the previous book. It seems like it was explored that much more in this one. From torture to more death, this book deals it out to us in painful fashion. The only things that I really can say got on my nerves slightly was the fact that Violet is so insecure and is with someone who is such the polar opposite. Though I know that he is a person just like she is and you can kinda get that she is someone who is thrust into a world she didn't expect, it still gets annoying. Like even a nerd to have some confidence. I know that when it comes to books and certain knowledge she definitely is confident but it would be great if she got a little more of it. Watching Xaden...

This was such a good novella! I really enjoyed this! Starting out with us getting to meet Sariel, his brother and the rest of their family was interesting. Especially since most of the times we start out with the FMC's POV. This world seemed so similar to ours yet different once we leave the place that Elowen lives. I liked the characters and the world that this story takes place in. Everything flowed very nicely and even though it was short, it still took the time to make us feel for the characters. Even the side characters that jumped in later was nice. I want more from all of them and I can't wait to read more from this author. The spice in this book was off the charts! I really liked everything about the spice in this book. Remembering that this is a novella, the MCs are pretty much on each other from the moment that they see each other. 4 out of 5 for the spice.
