Heat For Hire- Review

Image
This was spicy!! I love omegaverse books and this one had everything you could ask for, heats, alphas, slick, knotting and more!! Elli is a scarred omega who is looking to find herself again after surviving cancer. She finds a kindred soul in Rhen who is also disfigured. They both are looking to affirm themselves in their roles. Elli is a human and Rhen is from a different planet but still has the ABO dynamic. I really liked how this world has everything set up and I would love to read more from this world.  The spice was amazing.  If course since it's all about heat they are banging all over the place. 5 out of 5 for spice. Overall this was a really good short read. It felt like a great book to pick up after being lost in the world of dark romance. Rhen is protective and caring for Elli. I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys omegaverse and alien romance!!

Under Your Scars - Review

Image
So I listened to this book and the narration was amazing!! Joe Arden put his whole budussy in this narration ok!! Out was great. The story was a good dark romance read. I found myself rooting for Christian the whole way even though he is indeed a murderer. Like make no mistake about that. I was rooting for him to get the girl. The father in this one though was also really good. He didn't have many scenes but he made the most of them while there and really left an impact. I was not prepared for that ending. I knew this was a tragedy but my goodness. I didn't think it would go the way it went!! I really thought the FMC was going to be the problem but... yeah that didn't happen. Also the reveals!! Omg yall, I wasn't ready. Truly. This will definitely have an impression.  The spice was good! The characters had chemistry and they were everywhere. 3 almost 4 out of 5 for spice. Overall I enjoyed this read even though it hurt. I have it a 4 because I a hooked from ...

A Game of Retribution - Review

Image
I really love that the author made the Hades Saga because it is so good! I love that we are getting to see the inner workings of things through the eyes of Hades who is also experiencing them with Persephone. I like getting to read these after reading things from Persephone's POV since there is a little bit more plot movement on his side. From her we watch her growth from seeing herself as a regular person to being the goddess that she is meant to be. When we read his POV, we see the world as a whole and how both of their interactions are affecting the world. It's just an amazing series all together. I really well done. Both of them are learning how to be in a relationship with each other and I love it. One thing I really liked was getting to see how the situation with Lexa affected Hades. He has such a vast knowledge and seeing death from his POV is so different. I liked that he got to share that with Persephone. Though it looks like we are in for a whole new world once thing...

Throne of Broken Gods - Review

I really enjoyed re-reading this and getting back into this world but man was this hard. This was such an emotional ride that we went on. Watching Dianna deal with her grief over Gabi was so hard. It felt so real though and knowing that there was someone like Samkiel out there who believed in her was so powerful. I really, really enjoyed reading this. Then I cried at the end. You really feel for Dianna and grief is such a relatable thing. We all handle it differently and when you are a being of such power that makes it that much more intense. Watching her get through this slowly but surely with the help of the other celestials and Samkiel was so...emotional. The note, the star oh my gosh how my heart just broke and I cried right there with Dianna. Then the ending happened and now I don't know what to do! Everything has been turned upside down and where things will go, no one knows! There is so much that gets revealed in this book! There are so many more questions that I have now a...

Blood of Two Crowns - Review

Image
This book had a lot going on. The story is definitely there and interesting with how everyone is somehow connected to each other. However, there is so much happening. I wish that some of it was spaced out a little more. Let us breath in the events that just happened before something else happened. We also don't really get the opportunity to dislike someone. Zurie gets some time in this book, Keres gets some time and Azrael as well, which makes it hard to strongly dislike them when we see them do bad things to our MCs. Who do you root for in situations like this? It made it feel like less of the story of our MCs and more of a story of this world. Which I'm ok with, it was just a big change from the first book where we were mainly with the MCs and viewed the world through their eyes. I would like to get to the next book to see how things wrap up for some of the characters that we encountered in this book. Things are not settled in the realms and I can't wait to see if we get...

December - Wrap Up '25

Image
December was a great month, reading-wise for me. I was able to get through 16 books! I mean compared to some of the last few months this was insane! I was am proud of myself! I am hoping that this trend will continue! Although this month has definitely shown me that I really like PNR and fantasy unless it's mafia/crime/dark contemporary romance. The need for escapism is apparently real with me lol. I have started to pull back some on the ARCs. I am very big on going with the flow and sometimes, the window that authors give can be too short for me. However, if you have an ARC in need of reading and will have it available more than 2 weeks before release, I'm your girl! These books this month have almost felt cathartic. From crying over a great love lost (TWICE) to the excitement of one of my favorite series getting closer to the end. This month was one of the books...literally. Let's see what I was able to read this month!               ...
