Shadows So Cruel - Review

So...I couldn't wait to jump straight into this book after that cliffy in book one. Mistakes were made. Now my feelings are hurt. Shouldn't have finished this on a bright Saturday morning. Cried my eyes out, yup, Liv decided to hurt us. I mean, I was choked up then and I'm choked up now. The thing for me about dark romance MMCs is that you either love them or hate them. Both of those emotions usually run deep and hard for those characters. So sometimes it's hard to leave them and I feel that way about these two MMCs. Anyway, there are some predictable parts in this one as well but there are also some surprises! I wasn't surprised by the actions of some characters in this book because they are despicable and remain that way. I was proud of Galantia for reclaiming her power and realizing that she is strong and doesn't have to be a damsel. Feathers So Vicious - Review

  So, I want to preface this with saying that this book is definitely dark. I knew that going in and I've read from this author before so I definitely knew a little of what I was getting into. She has created another world that has been so interesting!! Our characters are at odds with each other from the very beginning and even though we understand the pain from each side, Malyr takes it to another level. By the end of this book, I didn't really care for him. Sebian on the other hand. Must be protected at all cost!! His story is heartbreaking as well yet he's much nicer than Malyr. I wanted justice for them both! The flashbacks of them were terrible!! A world where anyone can look at a child and hurt them is a world with truly evil people. So again, check your triggers because they all go through it! I could have  The spice in this book was whew! Galantia truly had the best of both worlds with Malyr and Sebian!! 5 out of 5 for spice!!
