Pretty Little Savage - Review

This was definitely a very dark read. It's not as dark as some of the other books that I have read before but it definitely went there. In this book we meet Avalon and Dean as they encounter each other at school. Avalon is allowed into this school for the rich and connected thanks to her academics, despite having "bad behavior". We immediately see that she is someone who doesn't give a care about anything that the rich and connected care about. She is definitely a tough girl. Which is something that Dean and the Sick Boys of the school are not used to. As she navigates this new school, dynamics and relationships though her past won't quite leave her alone. I enjoyed reading about how she and Dean get closer to each other. Even though the road there was paved with a lot of mistrust and craziness. This story still managed to keep me interested and engaged with the characters. Avalon is definitely someone who would benefit from some form of therapy or a healthy outlet. Hopefully she gets more of that in the upcoming books in this series. I also enjoyed the relationship that the guys had with each other.

This spice in this book was very short but worth it. This has a slow build up since these two literally are at each others throats almost from the beginning. I'd give it a 3 out of 5. Overall, I give this story a 3 out of 5. I enjoyed it but I also wish that we got to see a softer side to Avalon. It's nice to be a badass but at the same time, it takes someone really strong to tap into those emotions when you need to. I hope we get to see some of that in the next book. She doesn't have to have a complete meltdown of her character but a little softness would be nice. I hope that the rest of the guys are also getting books in this series because they are all interesting characters. Though again this book is filled with PARENTS BEHAVING BADLY. Like whew. Where did they find this surplus of bad parental figures? I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys dark romance.
