  This book was mysterious as all get out. Even though the pieces start slowly falling into place, things don't fully take shape until closer to the end.  I enjoy books that have such a pure mysteriousness about them and this one definitely did that. A small town that is haunted by a terrible past..... well not really haunted since the people there don't really seem to care and allow those responsible to continue. Still a small town gets a little taste of what they have allowed to happen. The culprits have to balance their fear of being caught with their love of family... if they even have that. All in all I enjoyed this book! The slasher vibes manage to come across nicely and the characters are engaging.
     As for the spice, it was ok. It definitely could have been a little more spicy. I did like what was there but it didn't like revv the engine you know. The potential was there but it just was a little out of reach. I give the spice a 3 out of 5. I'd also give this book overall a 3 of 5. Once it hits its stride,  it takes you on a very nice ride. But before that and little after you're left side eyeing our FMC a little. I do want to dive back into this world because I think there are some things that were left unanswered and I wanna know!!! The questions are spoilers so I'll leave them out.  I'd recommend this for my horror/ thriller peeps for sure!!

   I finally decided to take the plunge and start this series. This book was really good and I felt so much for Elise. She has so much happening and to see her experience moments of pure happiness was the most rewarding part of this book. As for the men, whew, I really want to continue this series just to see how she is able to resolve the fact that two of the men are mortal enemies. How are they going to come to terms with each other? They are mortal enemies and their families have hated each other for generations!! The others I can see getting along just because but generational enemies?!?!?! That right there is enough to make me want to finish the series. End of The Month Wrap Up- September '23

   We are here again with another End of the Month Wrap Up. It's crazy to say that I can't believe it again but we have burned through this month in a blink. I have gone on a trip and come back and here we are, at the end of the month once again!! I didn't do as much reading as I wanted to since I fell into a slump during the middle of the month. Still all of the books that I read were interesting in their own way. So let's see where all these books fell this month!       Favorite Character:   Avery- Avery from Wonder Light is my selection as favorite character of the month!! I loved that she decided to take some time for herself and do something crazy. Sometimes doing something different can be just what we need to shock our systems and can reset us. The Cliffiest of Cliff Hangers

    Whew,  I received this ARC for a honest review of this book. Let me just say that this was cruel and unusual punishment!! Like the title for this review says, the biggest cliff, in cliffhanger history ends this book.  The next page asks us to wait until next year for the next book.  I won't survive. I will spend the next week writing down theories of how this could continue.      The characters in this book are so memorable!! I love a snarky heroine and her dark hero. These two are actually a match made in... well hell? Darkness? I don't know but I can't wait to read more when the next book in this series drops. I definitely recommend this book!! The spice didn't come to the end but it was hot !! I give the spice 3 out of 5 simply because I wish there was more!! It was so good! Overall I'd rate this book 4 out of 5!! Great works building,  great characters, and plot. Everything is paced nicely and it definitely leaves you wanting more!!
