End of the Month Wrap Up - May 26

Another month down, another set of books read. I have been hitting the book jackpot lately and have been really enjoying the books that I have picked up! Of course last month you guys didn't get a wrap up but I will be doing it for you and posting it before I post this one. I already have just about everything made so I just have to post it. On top of that, I also have an update on where I am with my Goodreads challenge! So far we are at 70 books read for this year! Which means we only have 30 more to go before I'm done with the challenge! So if I continue at my current pace, that would mean that by August, I should have this completed! Fingers crossed that I can keep up with at least 10 books a month. Well with that being said, let's get a recap of the books that I have read this month and then I will move on to the superlatives! Happy reading!!

Favorite Character: Shiloh (WITSEC)- I love when the FMC can hold her own! Shiloh is definitely one of those characters who is not going to allow someone to get the best of her...at least not in a fight. However, it is the other things that she needs help with, like self-esteem, PTSD and learning that she is not alone. I liked her character and I can't wait to finish this series!

Spiciest Book: Mafia Mistress - This book had the spice out the wazoo and it was super hot! I did listen to this in audiobook form so that made it even better. I can't wait to finish this series! I know that it lives up to the hype since I was able to read the last book in this series before I read the others!

Best Cover: God of War - Any book that goes against this series is going to have a tough time pulling the dub away from them. In my opinion Rina Kent selected the perfect models for the characters and the vibe was immaculate. Maybe these are stock photos or something, however they came into being, they were perfect. This one may not have been my favorite in the series but the model is killing it! Runner Up here is the new covers that Zoey Draven has for the Brides of Kylorr. I mean, I already have a special edition copy of this series but I have to get this cover of it as well. It's beautiful!

Best Narration: Obsession - Full cast narration is always a big win for me. So with this book it worked out well since there were so many different personalities that we had to get acquainted with. Runner up for me in this category was definitely Mafia Mistress because whew, the Italian accent was doing it for me honey!

Top Baddie: Abducting Aliens - So this one was hard to choose from, so I choose the one that was the most complex. I feel like in Freeing Luka, you can kinda understand where the Clecanians are coming from when they decided to kidnap the women. At the same time they are still villains because they were not only kidnapping humans but some of their own as well, to experiment on. Nobel cause but the way they went about it was all wrong.

Best Storyline: Nightshade - I really liked the way that this story came together. It was mainly how the angels, the afterlife and everything came together that I really appreciated. I mean you can tell that there was a lot of time and effort put into making this world what it was. I can't wait to finish this duet and see how things go!

Author of the Month: Ashley N Rostek - Anytime an author makes me have to pretty much stop myself from burning through their series then there is a high probability they are going to be the author of the month. I have really enjoyed the WITSEC series so far. I am 2 books in and I am really looking forward to book 3 and everything else that this series has to offer!

Book of the Month: The Ever King - I really liked everything about The Ever King! From the swashbuckling vibes of the King's crew to the dazzling world of the Ever. This world and the characters have definitely left an impression on me. I really loved getting to meet them and immerse myself in this world. Imagine how distraught I was when the narrator said that I'd reached the end of book one! I wanted it to continue for at least a few more hours. Alas, I will have to wait until the next book to continue with this world. I look forward to it!
