Awakening The Dhampir - ARC Review

I am always so surprised when the second entry in a series manages to surpass the initial entry,  which I shouldn't be at this point.  But alas here we are! I was so hooked on this second book!! Mir, Lorna's Dhampir, had been awakened!! This book focuses mainly on what happens after that. How her relationship with the guys changes due to it and where they might go from there. Lorna was already BA but her Dhampir side definitely makes get more so! I loved the banter between her and everyone else in the book! But of course even more secrets are being uncovered about done of the guys and man is it juicy!! There seem to be some other elements that are going to influence how things play out with Lorna and the guys than just their feelings. I'm excited to see how things shake out in the next book!! Definitely recommend!!
   The spice in this one increases. I mean we went from nothing to something!! It was hot and enjoyable. Not super detailed and short. Everyone is still getting comfortable with the idea of who they are to each other so I'm looking forward to more in the spice department in the next book! I give it a 2 out of 5 on the spice scale. Overall I enjoyed this second book more than the first. All the little tidbits that we get about this world makes me want to spend more time in it! Lorna and the guys are all well fleshed out characters who are all interesting in their unique ways! I didn't want this book to end and was surprised when I couldn't scroll anymore 😭. I really am looking forward to the next book in this series!! I give this book a 3 out of 5 for sure!! Perfect for Why Choose and PNR lovers!!

This book was so good! This is my first book from this author and I'm definitely going back for seconds. Angela and Ryan were adorable! I listened to this on audible and at first it was hard to understand the male narrator but after awhile it was easy and I loved hearing him. The story was beautiful! It dealt with a lot of real life issues without making them super heavy. I liked the interaction between the sisters, which reminded me so much of my own. Most of the men were terrible to the women in this book but then there were examples of men who were good to their women as well. Then there was also the misunderstandings. Usually I dislike miscommunication in books but this was very understandable. They were in a situation that was bad for the both of them and their relationship. Am I A Furry?

   I finally decided to take the plunge and start this series. This book was really good and I felt so much for Elise. She has so much happening and to see her experience moments of pure happiness was the most rewarding part of this book. As for the men, whew, I really want to continue this series just to see how she is able to resolve the fact that two of the men are mortal enemies. How are they going to come to terms with each other? They are mortal enemies and their families have hated each other for generations!! The others I can see getting along just because but generational enemies?!?!?! That right there is enough to make me want to finish the series.
