Rogue Games - Review

This book was a lot less spicier than I thought it was going to be. There were definitely moments when I thought that things would happen because ya know...shifters. It's definitely a slow burn though. There were times when I wanted to shake some sense into Jamie for sure. She was working with the tough girl persona but didn't really have it took to back it up. Then to say that the fated mates thing was something that all shifters were looking forward to, these two definitely fought against it like their lives depended on it. I could kind of understand but it did go on a little longer than I thought it would. The games were very interesting and I wish we got the opportunity to see more of it. Though I do think that we just might when we get the second book. The story that unraveled with the Reynolds pack and their mother was something that I was definitely not expecting. I thought that the mother would have had a different reaction than what she gave for why she kinda forgot about her children. For some reason I also didn't think her reasoning was good enough for me. Also seeing what happened when they returned to their old pack to confront the alpha there was slightly satisfying.

The spice in this book was ok. I wish there was more. There was so much build up but only a little but of actual spice. I give this book a 3 out of 5. Overall I gave this book a 3 out of 5! It was enjoyable and I liked the characters that we met in this book. I want more from the world and I want to see how things shake out for Wyatt! If there was just a little bit more focus on one issue instead of multiple issues then I think I would have enjoyed this book more. I would still recommend this book to anyone who is into shifter romance and like seeing two characters slowly get together despite how everything else in their live goes.
