End of the Month Wrap Up - March 25

Late but always great right!! Well finally I am making my end of the month wrap up! March was such a busy month for me! I had some great reads and some new series that I can't wait to continue reading! Things are getting busy with my job as well so I'm definitely doing my best to make sure that I can get in all the reads right now! Let's look back on the books that I read and then jump into the superlatives!!

Favorite Character - Summer (Blood & Betrayals): I absolutely fell in love with this book and this character. She was someone who didn't really people that much, until she ran into the right people for her. I completely feel her. Once you find your tribe, then it's hard to keep them from slowly worming their way into your heart. Not to mention, even when you are with someone that doesn't mean they are the right someone for your forever. They could be just what you need in the moment. They aren't necessarily bad, just not right. I felt that throughout this book and I felt for Summer as she tried to reconcile that with herself.  By the end I was hooked on her, her smarts and her strength. I would 1000% recommend this book to anyone based on her character alone.

Spiciest Book - Break Me: Henry and Abbi did it again! They once again managed to keep things spicy in this book! Even though there is so much happening in the story, they still show how they can keep the pages spicy! Not only is it them in this book but Abbi exploring and finding more of herself was just whew. Like, everyone needs a Ronan in their life. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait for more in this series! 5 OUT OF 5 for spice as always!!

Best Cover - Break Me: The simplicity of the cover is something that I really liked. Most of the covers are not really that dramatic or something that will instantly hook you. This one for some reason though just reeked of elegance and indulgence. Which I definitely felt was in abundance in this book. The trip to France, was all of that and more!

Top Baddie - Aqua: Talk about characters that you least expect! I didn't really think that all the crazy things that were happening were related to this chick until it got closer to the end of the book. I mean what a gotcha moment! That's not why this person is the top baddie though...it's what they did and how they did it! I mean what the heck kind of person is this diabolical. Sis needs some help because she has jumped and created a whole new deep end! Also my epic book hangover can be contributed to her and her actions at the end of the book. Thanks for the trauma I guess!

Best Voice Actors - Pretty Little Savage: The voice actors in this book were the best for this month and it was also the only one that had 2 vc actors! I can't stress enough, how much I appreciate this. Making a book a audio feast for the ears is definitely something that I think companies need to invest more in. Also I just liked the voices for these characters.

Best Storyline - Blood and Betrayals: Even though this book took a long time to get where it was going, when it got there, it was really good. We go on this bread crumb trail to the answer that we still don't have but a cleaner way to get there. I don't know how things are going to go in the next book  but I'm interested to see what gets told. I do hope that things move a long a little bit more though. I also hope that the events in the first book are justified. From the hard edged woman that we meet in the beginning to the woman who has opened her heart when she never thought she would, Summer has been through it all in this book. I went through the emotions with her and let me tell you. I was exhausted by the end so I can only imagine how she feels.

Author of the Month - Jeanette Rose & Alexis Rune: I mean, the fact that the book they wrote caused me to have nearly a month long hangover that I'm still battling to get over should tell you something. I just want to return to that world and explore more, learn more. Be in the moment with the characters more. It was such a journey and I can't thank them enough for taking me on it!

Book of the Month - Blood and Betrayals: I battled between my two favorite reads of the month for this spot. Though one was a re-read so I had to give it to the newer book! I really liked this story. The book was a chunk and had moments where I wanted things to speed up but the those slow moments helped with the maximum impact of the ending. I mean, I haven't been able to successfully read another book like how I devoured this one. Everything seemed to pale in comparison. The emotional journey that I went on while reading this book was just that impactful. I hope that you give this book a read so we can commiserate together. I mean, Summer needs it because I know I need it! I can't wait for the next book in this series because I just need to know how things are going to shake out and what the real story is behind everything.
