Well we are getting slowly but surely closer to the truth of who wants Avalon where she is and why. A lot of things are revealed in this book. Not everything, but a lot of the pieces and players are finally making themselves known. Some of them were obvious and others weren't. I won't spoil it but one someone we have already met outs themselves in this book. Their reasoning was a little weird to me but the fact that they were out to get Avalon was pretty obvious. The rest though, I definitely need some more details on what the heck is happening because, the plot has thickened! I have my predictions on why I think this is happening but no idea why! Dean's father makes himself a part of the plot in this book and it just makes you wonder what they heck he did to his son! On top of that we find out that there are even more players in this game then we thought! I am mystified by what is going on! My prediction without spoiling things is that Avalon's father is someone who has a lot of money and power. Her mother however was either assaulted and forced to keep Avalon after the assault or her mother isn't really her mother....and there is a deeper story behind that. I just....I'm speechless right now and I want to know more. Though I will say that Avalon made me want to give her shaken baby syndrome. There is strong and smart and then there is stubborn and dumb. Avalon was a lot of the latter in this book unfortunately. The way she was unnecessarily pulling away from the guys and trying to do things on her own just always back fired on her. It ended up putting her in messed up situations more often then not. Then she expected for others to come and save her. After she gave them the slip and almost left them no way to find her. Like ma'am you brought this on yourself! I think that the next book is the last one for Avalon and Dean so I hope that everything gets resolved in a nice way in the next book. There is enough unknowns that if it's rolled out nicely then it will make me a very happy reader. If it's semi front loaded with a random rush at the end, I will not be a happy reader. Though I hope that the other books in this series are focused on some of the other guys in the friend group. I love a good interconnected series!

The spice in this book was good. Avalon and Dean have finally given in to each other and I love that for them. I would give the spice a good 3 out of 5. Overall, this was not a bad entry in the series. We got some nice reveals and some more bread crumbs to lead us to where the author wants to take us. There are enough unknowns that I'm ready to see where this could lead and how it can help us continue with the other guys until we reach a final conclusion. I am also hoping that after all the shenanigans that happened in this book that Avalon has learned to not just go off on her own. Because almost everytime she has done that, things have ended badly for her. It was literally an unnecessary thing this time too. Like last time was understandable but this time....I had to smdh at her. I would recommend this book and this series to anyone who likes dark academia with a nice little mystery to boot. Plus parentals behaving badly.

 The next series that I decided to take on in my re-read sessions was the Wolf Hotel series by KA Tucker. This series was one that I devoured when I originally read it so I wanted to see if it still hit the same as then! This first book definitely has taken advantage of the naive virgin trope and really let it go full tilt. We meet Abbi as she is going through one of the worst moments in her life. She just found out that her fiancé cheated on her. Of course she comes from a super religious background meaning that they feel like it's ok for the man to do this while she must remain chaste.   Wow. I almost don't know how to feel after reading this book. I mean Gideon and Ava are definitely running me through the emotional ringer with this one. I mean they are constantly on a roller coaster themselves! One day they are madly happy then the next day they are close to hating each other. Most of it honestly, is communication. They both have bad communication skills honestly. They feed each others hurt. Yet they are great when they are great. I mean there is a scene in this book where it's almost picture perfection. Then we get instances when one lashes out subconsciously at the other. The issue stemming from the fact that one is very close lipped about something. Which by the end of the book, it makes sense....my LORD, was I stressed while reading this. The amount of times that I stopped and just yelled at one of the other about what the heck they had going on. Like my goodness! I almost don't even know how we got to where we did by the end. The whiplash was real....

Binder - ARC Review

Yall, I try not to be long winded when I do my reviews because I don't want to spoil you. Also I try to be a raving looney toon as well but this series is going to probably have the longest reviews I've written. When I say that I am head over heels for these characters, this world, the story. I truly am. Once again we are back in this world meeting so many new faces and some returning! I was so happy to see that Rogan was back! I knew it would throw an interesting wrench between Kara and Flynn and boy did it!! Rogan was just someone who was there briefly in the Prequel Breeder, but he was important to Kara. The fact that he disappeared after what happened in the prequel was investing to me and he always lingered in the back of my mind but never,  did I expect his return to be what it was!!
