We definitely take a step further into the dark side in this one. With both of Lexi and Grey having to deal with the darkness that they've inherited. I enjoyed getting back into this world and finally seeing how things could possibly be with these two at the helm. Things were definitely on go from the first chapter to the last. Everything has started to shift in their favor but the little things are what needed to shake for them to get things right. After the events of the last book, the little dominoes started to fall and we were able to get more knowledge of what happened to Lexi. I hope that some of the people that we meet in this book will either get their own book or that they will get some more "screen" time in the next book. It's definitely going to be interesting seeing as we already know who the "bad guy" is going to be in the next book. I was not expecting things to go the way that it has. I was seriously hoping for a different outcome in that area. However, the new allies that we've made on this journey will have to make up for that unfortunate twist.

The spice in this book was ok. We got more I think, than what we had in the last book. I'd give it a 3 out of 5 for spice. Overall, I liked this entry into the mafia pack series and I'm glad that we are going to get a look at how things can be in this new era with another book. I liked getting to see these two not only come back together but also how they were able to fight for what they wanted. Together, like mates should. Things are looking up in the city and I can't wait to see how this progresses. I think this book will be perfect for anyone looking for fated mates, shifters and strong FMCs. The women really got their chance to shine in this book. This series has been good from book 1 to where we are now. I would recommend this book for sure! I'd give this one a 4 out of 5!

 The next series that I decided to take on in my re-read sessions was the Wolf Hotel series by KA Tucker. This series was one that I devoured when I originally read it so I wanted to see if it still hit the same as then! This first book definitely has taken advantage of the naive virgin trope and really let it go full tilt. We meet Abbi as she is going through one of the worst moments in her life. Binder - ARC Review

Yall, I try not to be long winded when I do my reviews because I don't want to spoil you. Also I try to be a raving looney toon as well but this series is going to probably have the longest reviews I've written. When I say that I am head over heels for these characters, this world, the story. I truly am. Once again we are back in this world meeting so many new faces and some returning! I was so happy to see that Rogan was back! I knew it would throw an interesting wrench between Kara and Flynn and boy did it!! Rogan was just someone who was there briefly in the Prequel Breeder, but he was important to Kara. The fact that he disappeared after what happened in the prequel was investing to me and he always lingered in the back of my mind but never,  did I expect his return to be what it was!! Bride of Brutal Hearts - ARC Review

 This book....whew. So, let me start with the things that I enjoyed. I liked the world set up. Even though things are heavily skewed in the favor of the vampires, there is still a lot of cool lore in this book. The Godstars and the craters, the magic system and runes, everything was laid out nicely for us. The way that the King of Dawn and Dusk were set up was also a nice different thing that what I was used to. Now, let's jump into some peeves. I don't really care for extreme power imbalances and this one is extreme. From the fact that Nessa starts out completely powerless to where she ends up in the end of the book. I could almost scream at how frustrating this is. I mean, the back and forth that she has in her mind where she is just all about sharing her body with them but also morally disliking them was low key exhausting. I felt for her but also girl what?
