Eternal Kiss of Darkness - Review

 This was a good read! I think I missed out on this book when I was originally reading this series and skipped right to the next Cat and Bones book. I remember being a little surprised when I got to that one and Mencheeres had someone. I loved that we were able to get some more background on Mencheeres and lore about the world in general. Kiera has major big sister energy and I really felt that. As a big sister myself, the need that she had to take care of her siblings was a very big driving force in her life. Also I really liked that she was out here fighting for her man! She definitely wanted him to see that there was more to live for and to not give up. I wish there was a little bit more explanation to how she was his darkness. That part either I missed or just wasn't clarified as much as it needed to be. Introducing more about the magic side of this world was also a nice addition to the lore!!

The spice in this book was definitely a lot less that I would like and I'm not sure if it's less descriptive in this or what but I was almost confused about the fact that anything happened! Between that and the rarity of it happening I have to give this a 2 on the spice scale. Overall, it was definitely a nice addition to the series. We are inching closer and closer to my favorite series set in this world and I can't wait to start it! I would recommend this one to anyone who has liked this series already! Vampire romance lovers will like this, especially if heavy spice isn't your thing!

 The next series that I decided to take on in my re-read sessions was the Wolf Hotel series by KA Tucker. This series was one that I devoured when I originally read it so I wanted to see if it still hit the same as then! This first book definitely has taken advantage of the naive virgin trope and really let it go full tilt. We meet Abbi as she is going through one of the worst moments in her life. Beneath Hoof and Hollow - ARC Review

This was a great dark spicy Halloween read!! I really enjoyed this! Em and Fier definitely matched each other's freak. In all forms from the blood and guts to the pumpkin magic cum! Emmeline had to be strong to dry years of teaching to try to not only save herself but also the other women of the village. I can't help but wonder if the men who joined on Itrimorts side thought about the fact that she they killed all the women they wouldn't have any.... apparently not. Even though too many women died before the demon could be killed,  a good prob of them were still able to be saved. I liked the characters in this book, especially sassy Horace! A for spice, you might as well put it in all caps because this book had it in spades. From invisible man sex to pumpkin monster sex. It was packed in these pages. Solid 5 out of 5 on spice. Bride of Brutal Hearts - ARC Review

 This book....whew. So, let me start with the things that I enjoyed. I liked the world set up. Even though things are heavily skewed in the favor of the vampires, there is still a lot of cool lore in this book. The Godstars and the craters, the magic system and runes, everything was laid out nicely for us. The way that the King of Dawn and Dusk were set up was also a nice different thing that what I was used to. Now, let's jump into some peeves. I don't really care for extreme power imbalances and this one is extreme. From the fact that Nessa starts out completely powerless to where she ends up in the end of the book. I could almost scream at how frustrating this is. I mean, the back and forth that she has in her mind where she is just all about sharing her body with them but also morally disliking them was low key exhausting. I felt for her but also girl what?
