Craving In His Blood - Review

This book was a little bit harder to get into than the first one. For me the conflict between the characters in the first book was understandable. They both had a beef with each other. However in this one, the issue was Kythel's sense of duty and his guilt. Of course we've dealt with the guilt a little with Azur but his felt infinitely worse than Azur's. Not to mention Kythel is a heck of a lot more restrained than Azur. This made some of the interactions between him and Millie more frustrating. As for Millie, I kinda didn't enjoy her beginning but as we got to know her more, I liked her more and more. She has emotional intelligence and her love of travel is definitely something I can understand. Her relationship with her dad was so heartbreaking. I was so happy to learn more about her dad and Ruaala. Their ending was a happy one. As for story progression, we are heading towards war and it's going to be interesting to see more of Krynn through the eyes of the brothers and maybe even Kalia? We do get to meet some of the other races native to the planet and I can't wait, even though we is going to be tragic for all involved.
The spice in this book was nice. It wasn't better than the first one though. I would give it a 3 out of 5. Overall, I liked this book but it definitely wasn't my favorite and it wasn't a good as the first. I hope that's not a trend and just a blip for Kythel. I would recommend this book just because you get get introduced to more characters and for the overall story progression.
