A Court This Cruel and Lovely - Review

Another good start to a series by this author. The characters are interesting and the world is even more so! Priska is your typical FMC who has ambition to not save one but all. She had her moments where she was definitely silly and I had to roll my eyes, especially towards the end. Lorian, is also your typical broody MMC with secrets. It was entertaining seeing them in the beginning and I will admit their chemistry almost came out of no where. Once it was there though, it was interesting. This world it's just opening to us and I can't wait to continue this series and learn more about this world. I feel like we have a partial view of what is really going on and will get more in the next books. I like when the side characters also have a good story and are memorable and many of them are. 
The spice in this book was good. It wasn't much but it was still good. I'd give it a 3 out of 5. Overall, I enjoyed this book and it was a good start to the series. I am looking forward to more! I would recommend for readers who enjoy fantasy and a magical world of fae and those who are wronged.

      In book 2 of the Betrayal series we are back with Scarlett and Axel. We get introduced to the Skull King and get even more info on the relationship between Axel and his parents. The world is almost flipped on its head in this book and it leaves some of the characters in a tail spin. I feel like while some things were fixed in this book, other things left me wanting to shake just about every character in this book. Scarlett, because for all her smarts, she's blind to the one person who is actually up to no good. Then Axel for not attempting to do something with his parentals. Something has to change with that relationship or he needs to make them accept his help in keeping them safe. It's insane to me that someone as smart as him hasn't come up with a plan to keep his parents safe. Heat For Hire- Review

This was spicy!! I love omegaverse books and this one had everything you could ask for, heats, alphas, slick, knotting and more!! Elli is a scarred omega who is looking to find herself again after surviving cancer. She finds a kindred soul in Rhen who is also disfigured. They both are looking to affirm themselves in their roles. Elli is a human and Rhen is from a different planet but still has the ABO dynamic. I really liked how this world has everything set up and I would love to read more from this world.  The spice was amazing.  If course since it's all about heat they are banging all over the place. 5 out of 5 for spice. Overall this was a really good short read. It felt like a great book to pick up after being lost in the world of dark romance. Rhen is protective and caring for Elli. I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys omegaverse and alien romance!!

Another book that I don't know how to feel about. This is definitely not a slow burn. Its a fast burn with a lot of traumatic moments in between. Definitely think this couple got together based on vibes because after what Tessa went through, I'd be staying away from men. I will say there were some unintentional funny moments. Like one where they were getting it on and Gracin asked for a condom. I was like sir...that ship has sailed many bruises ago. Also the fact that instead of immediately leaving the states before anyone knows anything, Tessa decides to move to LA. I coulda choked her myself! Don't get it twisted yall this is definitely a full on dark romance. Check your triggers because this one was could be a little hard for some folks.  The spice in this was ok.
