Break Me - Review

We return to the beautiful scenery of Alaska with Abbi and Henry. Only for me to overwhelmingly agree with Henry that Abbi is extremely naive and the way that she goes about things are terrible and she definitely needs a more world wise friend to talk her off the ledge. Since she does not, we get the events of this book. While I must say that it isn't all on her....the majority is. She does show some growth towards the end of this story. Although if seeing any of the characters in a story, have relations with others while estranged or anything bothers you, then you might now want to read this book. It's not "cheating" because technically they are estranged and not together but yeah....it happens. With that being said, I think that the time apart was kind of needed. They both were able to have the opportunity to see how things are without each other and they also had the opportunity to grow. Especially Abbi. She ends up having an emergency that forces her to leave and return home. Due to this, it will be interesting to see how things progress now that Alaska and employment is not an issue. I really enjoyed how things were handled in this book *after multiple times of trying to reach into the book and give Abbi a shake*. I think that you are able to see the beauty in having chemistry with someone but knowing that they aren't the one. You can almost keep things platonic without feelings getting involved. You also get to see the damage that a false accusation can bring on someone. We see Henry dealing with this and how it could affect not only the hotel and his inheritance but also his relationship with Abbi.

Even though both Henry and Abbi were slightly frustrating in this book, the spice did NOT disappoint. Like whew, even when you see them with other people, it's still spicy. I really enjoyed all the scenes in this book. I would definitely give this a 4 out of 5 on the spice scale. Overall, I enjoyed this entry in the story. Abby and Henry both grow in this book. With each other as well as without the other and I think that, sometimes that's needed. The miscommunication trope claiming time from them both was well used. Even though normally, I would hate this trope. It's almost always silly. I would definitely recommend this book to others and I can't wait to start the next book in this series so I can finish this in my re-read series! If you like spicy contemporary romance with an inexperienced FMC (she definitely doesn't stay that way) then this is the one for you. High recommendations on this series!
