Fire in His Fury - Review

 Another good entry in this post-apocalyptic series! This time we are following Amy, who is like repunzel stuck in the tower. After spending a lot of time feeling like she was powerless and having to have people look at her as weak, she makes a crazy choice and leaves with a dragon. Of course things don't go as she had planned at first but Amy definitely didn't let that stop her. She was able to work through the hardships and find out things about herself that she didn't know. Not only did she discover that she is a great leader but she also was able to strengthen herself physically despite her injury. I really enjoyed this story because unlike the other women that we read about til this point, Amy was someone who was sheltered and vulnerable. She made a choice when she realized that she couldn't live the way she was anymore. Not only that but she had the courage to do it and see it through. This world is not kind to the people in it if they are not ready and willing to not only change but to also embrace their strengths. I also like that we get to see how we can be unintentionally uncaring about people. It does not have to be malicious but sometimes there are struggles going on that we don't see. That is definitely seen with Amy and Claudia's relationship. They both love each other but being an eternal third wheel that is stuck in a hot box for most of her life just wasn't the way that Amy saw her life. It was entirely understandable. It was also nice to see more of how things were for the dragons. As this series has progressed we have been getting even more insight into how things were for the dragons in their world. Unfortunately we also get to see how the Solarians were too. Things seem to be taking a turn for the worst at Ft. Dallas. I can't wait to get to the next book in this series and see how things progress. 

The spice in this book was nice. I really enjoy intense scenes where you can see the bond between the characters. Even though these two had a language barrier they still were able to dish out a hot and heavy scene. Then afterwards it just got better! I'd give the spice a 4 out of 5 in this book. Overall, I give this one a 4 out of 5. I don't know if it's the fact that I went away from this series for awhile and then came back but this book was really refreshing. It could have also been what I already stated in that, Amy was someone who was "weak" and had to have the will power to put herself out there. She went from someone who just took what was given to her to flourishing in the role that she might have been meant for all along. I really loved that. I would definitely recommend this book and this series to anyone who like post apocalyptic stories, dragons and kind of coming of age stories.

 The next series that I decided to take on in my re-read sessions was the Wolf Hotel series by KA Tucker. This series was one that I devoured when I originally read it so I wanted to see if it still hit the same as then! This first book definitely has taken advantage of the naive virgin trope and really let it go full tilt. We meet Abbi as she is going through one of the worst moments in her life. Binder - ARC Review

Yall, I try not to be long winded when I do my reviews because I don't want to spoil you. Also I try to be a raving looney toon as well but this series is going to probably have the longest reviews I've written. When I say that I am head over heels for these characters, this world, the story. I truly am. Once again we are back in this world meeting so many new faces and some returning! I was so happy to see that Rogan was back! I knew it would throw an interesting wrench between Kara and Flynn and boy did it!! Rogan was just someone who was there briefly in the Prequel Breeder, but he was important to Kara. The fact that he disappeared after what happened in the prequel was investing to me and he always lingered in the back of my mind but never,  did I expect his return to be what it was!! Reflected In You - Review

  Wow. I almost don't know how to feel after reading this book. I mean Gideon and Ava are definitely running me through the emotional ringer with this one. I mean they are constantly on a roller coaster themselves! One day they are madly happy then the next day they are close to hating each other. Most of it honestly, is communication. They both have bad communication skills honestly. They feed each others hurt. Yet they are great when they are great. I mean there is a scene in this book where it's almost picture perfection. Then we get instances when one lashes out subconsciously at the other. The issue stemming from the fact that one is very close lipped about something. Which by the end of the book, it makes sense....my LORD, was I stressed while reading this. The amount of times that I stopped and just yelled at one of the other about what the heck they had going on. Like my goodness! I almost don't even know how we got to where we did by the end.
