Fourth Wing - Review

This book was more interesting than I thought. There are so many people who love this series. I can definitely see why they did. I enjoyed it as well. Violet's mother was definitely a very annoying person. I could not stand her. I just don't understand how there are so many books where the parents are just terrible. This is one of them. Of course the father in this book was great but he was dead before we even got the chance to know him. Then the sister was also pretty amazing. I loved that she was very close to her sister. Then seeing her be able to take all the blows that she was given and keep getting better. Then she was able to take in everything that she already knew and applied it to what she has now. I definitely like that about her character. Especially since she was able to be logical about things when they didn't make sense instead of just being blinded by what she is told and taking it as gospel. I definitely loved her character. Though I can definitely see that she has some moments where she is going to be annoying coming up. I loved the idea of the power you manifest being a reflection of you. That is such a cool concept. Then when we get to the end of the book, I was just shocked and flabbergasted. On the one hand, I completely understand how Violet could feel betrayed but at the same time....girl...come on. In light of what you've learned, his reaction was warranted. I definitely am looking forward to how things go in the next book. There is much explanation needed!

As for the spice, there was definitely more than I thought there was going to be. It was pretty good! I give it a 4 out of 5. I look forward to the reconciliation between Zaden and Violet. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who has been holding out like me. It is a nice fantasy romance read. So anyone who enjotys that, should enjoy this for sure!

 The next series that I decided to take on in my re-read sessions was the Wolf Hotel series by KA Tucker. This series was one that I devoured when I originally read it so I wanted to see if it still hit the same as then! This first book definitely has taken advantage of the naive virgin trope and really let it go full tilt. We meet Abbi as she is going through one of the worst moments in her life. Binder - ARC Review

Yall, I try not to be long winded when I do my reviews because I don't want to spoil you. Also I try to be a raving looney toon as well but this series is going to probably have the longest reviews I've written. When I say that I am head over heels for these characters, this world, the story. I truly am. Once again we are back in this world meeting so many new faces and some returning! I was so happy to see that Rogan was back! I knew it would throw an interesting wrench between Kara and Flynn and boy did it!! Rogan was just someone who was there briefly in the Prequel Breeder, but he was important to Kara. The fact that he disappeared after what happened in the prequel was investing to me and he always lingered in the back of my mind but never,  did I expect his return to be what it was!! Bride of Brutal Hearts - ARC Review

 This book....whew. So, let me start with the things that I enjoyed. I liked the world set up. Even though things are heavily skewed in the favor of the vampires, there is still a lot of cool lore in this book. The Godstars and the craters, the magic system and runes, everything was laid out nicely for us. The way that the King of Dawn and Dusk were set up was also a nice different thing that what I was used to. Now, let's jump into some peeves. I don't really care for extreme power imbalances and this one is extreme. From the fact that Nessa starts out completely powerless to where she ends up in the end of the book. I could almost scream at how frustrating this is. I mean, the back and forth that she has in her mind where she is just all about sharing her body with them but also morally disliking them was low key exhausting. I felt for her but also girl what?
