Vicious Saint - ARC Review

Welcome back to the world of the Royal Heathens!! I was so excited to see one of my favorites back in action! This time we get to see Saint and Hendrix get their time to shine! There is a lot going on in the world of the Heathens even with their leader out of the picture. There is movement within the underworld and it coming to haunt each of them it seems. In this book, we see Hendrix having to deal with some skeletons of her own. I always liked her, in the first book and even more in this one. Her artistic heart and tough as nails exterior definitely made her a character that is likable. She doesn't really waste time on silly things and she is a straight to the point sharp shooter! If you like your FMCs with a lot of fire and the wits to back it up then you will definitely like Hendrix. Then we dive into our off the wall MMC, Saint! As a guy who has everything he wants on the outside when it comes to his internal demons, they are nothing to play with. He is dealing with some mental issues that while we can kinda see, the depths of it are hidden. Behind the don't care attitude and athletic prowess is a man who is tortured by a mistake that manifest itself in overprotectiveness and sometimes douchbaggery. I will admit that I was a little surprised by the reveal of what caused the traumatic event for Saint. I should have seen it coming but I definitely didn't. Then there is the family dynamics. There is some parents behaving badly in this book but then again....no? It's hard to define and I think that you have to read and judge it for yourself. The betrayal! Oh, I felt for the character who felt that they were betrayed by everyone that they cared about. Though the reaction that they had....was a little questionable. I think I would have handled that a different way....but, it the end, it worked out so...yay?

The spice in this book is definitely really, really good. One thing this author is going to do is add in some good spicy scenes! I gave it a 4 out of 5. Overall, I enjoyed this book! I'm so happy to see this series continue! My only drawbacks on this one was that it felt a little longer than it needed to be. Other than that, it is definitely on my recommend list for this year. If you haven't started Satan's Spawn yet then this is definitely your chance to do so! This author and the series have yet to disappoint!
