Barbarian Mine - Review

I have to say, out of all the IPB books I've read so far, this one has been my least favorite. There was just something about how they met and then eventually got together that just didn't work for me. I think if they had more of an opportunity to get speak with each other and grow then I would have liked it better. I do know that this series is pretty fast paced when it comes to the couples getting together but I feel like this one had even less of the characters actually...doing that. I don't believe in their connection like I do with Georgie and Liz. It all felt like it happened in the blink of an eye and then she was preggers. Then with the other surprise that we have thrown at us...it...just didn't feel as nice. I definitely have to go back and read the book that I skipped but...I hope that it is better than this one was. Either I missed it or I don't think it was explained why Rukh didn't know the language of the people of the planet...nor English was a little interesting. I guess since he was alone from a young age, he didn't learn?

The spice in this book is of course pretty good. Ruby hasn't disappointed yet with the spice. I would give this a 3 out of 5. Simply because one thing that is important for me when reading is that the characters have some type of chemistry. Since, I felt that was missing, I knocked a pepper off. Overall I gave this a 3 out of 5. I would still recommend this book simply because it does progress the story. I don't think that anything in this book is something you absolutely need to continue the story but it would be nice to see how certain things happened. Other than that, these two have been my least favorite couple so far. I did realize later that I missed Barbarian Lover, so I definitely am going to go back and read that one.
