Beneath Hoof and Hollow - ARC Review

This was a great dark spicy Halloween read!! I really enjoyed this! Em and Fier definitely matched each other's freak. In all forms from the blood and guts to the pumpkin magic cum! Emmeline had to be strong to dry years of teaching to try to not only save herself but also the other women of the village. I can't help but wonder if the men who joined on Itrimorts side thought about the fact that she they killed all the women they wouldn't have any.... apparently not. Even though too many women died before the demon could be killed,  a good prob of them were still able to be saved. I liked the characters in this book, especially sassy Horace!

A for spice, you might as well put it in all caps because this book had it in spades. From invisible man sex to pumpkin monster sex. It was packed in these pages. Solid 5 out of 5 on spice. Overall I'd give this book a 4 out of 5. It was enjoyable, freaky and told beautifully. There was no dull moments and everything flowed nicely. An epilogue of what happens after Emmeline dies would have been nice. In almost curious if she will or if him having magic pumpkin cum might change her..... Anyway, definitely worth picking up if you enjoy spooky dark vibes and spice!! Would recommend!!

 The next series that I decided to take on in my re-read sessions was the Wolf Hotel series by KA Tucker. This series was one that I devoured when I originally read it so I wanted to see if it still hit the same as then! This first book definitely has taken advantage of the naive virgin trope and really let it go full tilt. We meet Abbi as she is going through one of the worst moments in her life. She just found out that her fiancé cheated on her. Of course she comes from a super religious background meaning that they feel like it's ok for the man to do this while she must remain chaste. Bride of Brutal Hearts - ARC Review

 This book....whew. So, let me start with the things that I enjoyed. I liked the world set up. Even though things are heavily skewed in the favor of the vampires, there is still a lot of cool lore in this book. The Godstars and the craters, the magic system and runes, everything was laid out nicely for us. The way that the King of Dawn and Dusk were set up was also a nice different thing that what I was used to. Now, let's jump into some peeves. I don't really care for extreme power imbalances and this one is extreme. From the fact that Nessa starts out completely powerless to where she ends up in the end of the book. I could almost scream at how frustrating this is. I mean, the back and forth that she has in her mind where she is just all about sharing her body with them but also morally disliking them was low key exhausting. I felt for her but also girl what?   Wow. I almost don't know how to feel after reading this book. I mean Gideon and Ava are definitely running me through the emotional ringer with this one. I mean they are constantly on a roller coaster themselves! One day they are madly happy then the next day they are close to hating each other. Most of it honestly, is communication. They both have bad communication skills honestly. They feed each others hurt. Yet they are great when they are great. I mean there is a scene in this book where it's almost picture perfection. Then we get instances when one lashes out subconsciously at the other. The issue stemming from the fact that one is very close lipped about something. Which by the end of the book, it makes sense....my LORD, was I stressed while reading this. The amount of times that I stopped and just yelled at one of the other about what the heck they had going on. Like my goodness! I almost don't even know how we got to where we did by the end. The whiplash was real....
