Beast - Review

This book was slightly annoying. The FMC had to be the most brain dead FMC I've read in awhile. Beast was only slightly better.  There were so many opportunities for both of them to escape or attempt to maim Lex (the owner. Not to mention the amount of times they fell for the same trap...Lex is also a terrible villain. He seems a little incompetent. I did like his we came full circle with how these 2 knew each other but that reveal felt like it came out of the blue. Can you actually survive for years just eating meat?? I feel like the constipation would be next level but alas, that is not suffered here. The reveal of what's under the gloves was... weird? I must have been missing how Aurora was able to hide that under gloves. It just felt like it would be noticeable.
The spice was ok. I was hoping for a little more? Like not amount of scenes but like the detail of it i guess? 3 out of 5 on the spice scale. Overall I'd give this like a very low 3 almost 2 out of 5. The connection between Aurora and Beast felt half formed and the fact that both of them seemed dumber than a box of rocks was slightly off putting. Maybe I'm reading too much into what was happening but it just felt nonsensical that they didnt take advantage of certain opportunities. As always read for yourself to see if you like this one. It is a little dark but its a contemporary romance with a dash of crime boss thrown in.
